I wanted to make a bag that resembled one of those brown paper gift bags that the stores pack your purchases in.
I used burlap for the main part and a coordinating cotton fabric for the handles and front pocket. It has a mitred base and is fully lined in a burnt orange cotton.
All the long edges are sewn down to give it a crisp finish like paper has.

I made it look like a hamper by filling it up with a nice assortment of groceries and gave it to my brother for Christmas.

I have been really busy lately and haven't had too much time to post.
This is my first custom order outside of family and friends. It's a slouchy bag made out of Cherry Blossom fabric with a felt bird applique.

TITLE: Halloween zippered pouch

I made this out of a black organza spider web fabric over a green backing fabric. The lining is a vintage orange satin. The base is mitred so it stands up on its own.  The spider is made of different beads from my stash.

I was planning to make a felted clutch, after seeing all the lovely felted things around.

Unfortunately I knitted the main piece only to learn that I should have used pure wool instead of synthetic yarn for the felting to work.

I've posted this in bag challenge 5 and a couple of people suggested I post it here as well.

NAME: Reversible drawstring craft thingy
MATERIALS: 100% cotton, wadding, cord, cardboard

Hi, this is my entry. I made it out of one of my old tablecloths and pieces of fabric from other projects, so it cost next to nothing.

FUNCTIONS & COMPARTMENTS
There are 6 pockets going all around the outside and they are padded for stability.
The inside base is a removable circle of thick board which is padded and covered with fabric.
The whole thing is reversible as well so the pockets can go on the inside, for a different look.
There are separate handles on the top edge for carrying it around or you can use the pink cord.
I use this bag to carry scissors, tools, fabrics, buttons or whatever crafty project I'm working on at the time.
(The kanzashi flower is a pin so you can move it wherever you like.)
I guess, in a pinch, you could also use it as a diaper bag only I don't have any babies.

I made this for my nieces wedding recently. I didn't have time to get a new outfit but I wanted something new, so I decided to make a silk bag with ribbon roses. What do you think?
