1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: cloth pads=happy period on: January 10, 2007 05:09:36 PM
Those are so pretty. I finally made myself some pads a few days ago to try out and I have been tearing my whole house apart all day looking for them. I knew where I thought I had put them and just couldn't figure out where they had went to. My almost 3 year old son found them for me at bedtime a little while ago. Apparantly he thought I had made him some new toys. He had been playing with them and put them in his bed. LOL  I just made mine pretty plain jane to see if I would like them. After seeing them so many times on Crafster and reading how much everyone loves them I am hoping I like them as much as everyone else.

4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / I finally sold something! on: October 17, 2006 08:59:46 PM
I was beginning to worry that my shop was pitiful, but I sold 2 things this morning! Who else has finally made their first sale? And does anyone have any pointers for taking pictures of jewelry? I have the worst pictures.

I just opened my shop recently and I haven't sold anything yet, but I hope I do soon!

Does everything in my shop count? I have a pretty good amount of views but no buyers yet. Makes me worried that I am pricing everything too high or I have too many different types of stuff. I know my pictures aren't perfect. I'm working on that.

Cajunfamilymom's coloring book totes are perfect. I got my son's dora the Explorer one in the mail today and it is wonderful!! He loves it.

The best part is her little belly button. That is adorable!

9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Resin and copper rings on: October 01, 2006 12:54:03 PM
Those are sooo pretty. I wish my library had some good crafting books that I could learn stuff like that. I was wondering does the copper cause any skin issues? I have really weird skin that metal makes nasty looking black stains on it. (Even silver and gold.) hmm...might have been a little TMI

I stalk the clearance bins in the craft section of Wal-Mart. I have gotten lots of soft yarn and those fancy yarns for $1 and under a skein. I live in a tiny town and have to drive 20 minutes to even get to a Wal-Mart. I don't know if that will help you out or not.
