1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Our wishy wall! on: October 25, 2007 06:44:02 PM
Someday I hope to have a real camera.

My roommate and I got bored one day. I don't remember which one of us is more responsible for this, but one of says, "we should paint the walls (the ones that in our apartment contract mentions with "DO NOT paint")" and the other one of us says "yeah!" and then we sort of blink at each other and run home and start painting. And then the stem was too fat and going the wrong way. So we run to Fred Meyers after she breaks off a piece of the crawl door off so we can match the paint color. And then to Home Depot. And then to Home Depot again the next day. And we never ended up matching the white paint. But it's close. And we'll just paint that (stupidly tall) wall later. And some of the ceiling. And pray our apartment manager doesn't look up.

2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Sunglasses holder? on: July 21, 2007 12:25:10 PM
I'm kinda addicted to sunglasses, but I don't know what the best way to display them so they're easy to see. Any ideas?
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Painting over black on old canvas... on: April 24, 2007 03:13:55 PM
So I just bought this large cavas with plant silhouettes painted on it in black. The canvas itself is an ugly off-white color, but I love the plant outlines. What I'd like to do is paint a seriously YOW-hot pink over the white, but leave the black paint alone. What kind of paint would I use? Or should I just get a hot pink sharpie and start filling it in? (I'd rather paint it. It's like 3' x 4', which is more than I feel like coloring.)
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Boxing gloves on: July 12, 2006 08:46:06 PM
There is a stencil of a pair of boxing gloves on this website. They're just painted onto a shirt, and they're simple, but I'm in love with them and I can't find them!!
