A good way to find jars is just walking around your neighborhood on garbage day. Everybody leaves their bins out, just do a quick peek in each one till you have enough! (Do this really early or late if you're not as shameless as I am.)

Hey! Is there room for another person, and if so, when's the next meet-up? I desperately need to be surrounded by some creative brains! (I'm feeling a bit dried out right now.)

I know you said you looked at the costumes on this site, but there is a really great nurse costume you could look at if that's still what you're planning on doing. (I love her shoes.)

Thanks guys! Yeah, it was free-hand. We found once we stopped trying to make it so detailed, it actually came out better.

If you wanted to make another less flamable one, maybe you could use large beads instead of fabric. But it's totally awesome how it is. And I would steal that if you were to accidentally give me directions to your house. (Just kidding!) (Mostly.)
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Completed Projects / Our wishy wall! on: October 25, 2007 06:44:02 PM
Someday I hope to have a real camera.

My roommate and I got bored one day. I don't remember which one of us is more responsible for this, but one of says, "we should paint the walls (the ones that in our apartment contract mentions with "DO NOT paint")" and the other one of us says "yeah!" and then we sort of blink at each other and run home and start painting. And then the stem was too fat and going the wrong way. So we run to Fred Meyers after she breaks off a piece of the crawl door off so we can match the paint color. And then to Home Depot. And then to Home Depot again the next day. And we never ended up matching the white paint. But it's close. And we'll just paint that (stupidly tall) wall later. And some of the ceiling. And pray our apartment manager doesn't look up.

Are you effing kidding me?! This is so ridiculously awesome, I honestly can't stand it. I can't look at these pictures anymore without being insanely jealous. (I've got a bad case of white walls in my stupid apartment.)

Is there foil in the toilet?
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: hanging earring holder on: July 21, 2007 06:14:50 PM
Maybe it would look more intentional if you hung the stick so that it looked like it was coming out of the wall? Hang the strings closer to the edge of the ceiling, and maybe dab some glue on the base of the stick to hold it to the wall better.
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Sunglasses holder? on: July 21, 2007 12:25:10 PM
I'm kinda addicted to sunglasses, but I don't know what the best way to display them so they're easy to see. Any ideas?
