Did you use a thinner yarn than what was called for? It looks like it fits you really well. I love this sweater but am on the curvy side, so the bulky gauge would not work for me.
I used Lamb's Pride Bulky. I went up a needle size to try and get gauge but was still half a stitch over. Somehow I ended up with a skein left? That always seems to happen and I'm not sure why. If you're on Ravelry, you can check out everyone else's projects. Maybe someone switched yarn weight?

I thought I had, but apparently I was waaaay off. I don't know if you've worked with the Donegal tweed before, and if you have please ignore what I'm about to say. Since it's single ply, I had issues with it breaking a few times - once pulling it out of the center-pull ball and a couple others while I was seaming. It's wool, so you can spit splice it, but it's annoying all the same. It's scratchy, but it feels a TON better after you block it. I haven't gotten around to blocking the hood yet and there's a huge difference. And it tends to pill wear the sleeve rubs against the body. Good luck! I wear the dang thing all the time.
