It only took me 9 months, but here it is!





I wanted it baggy, so I knit it a size larger than what I thought I needed.  It ended up fitting perfectly and I have an extra skein. I guess my gauge was off...

I used the Tahki Donegal Tweed. It's scratchy, but only if you think about it.

Just got the ol' hair cut yesterday. NEXT week, it gets dyed. Soooooooooo excited!

I have been a redhead now for aaaaaalmost 6 years and now I'm kinda wishing to be a brunette. Would dark brown hair work for me? I don't know if I have the coloring for it.

Okay, since The Boy has apparently forgotten about the photos, I tried to take some with the good ol' cameraphone. They didn't turn out as well as I'd like, but at least you can see the goodies!

From left to right, we have 3 decoupaged journals (I'm using the one in the middle to keep track of books I've read so far this year), then we have 6 bookmarks, a locket featuring Henry Miller (I tried to take a closeup, but they all turned out blurry), a handmade quotebook and a stenciled Anais t-shirt.

I wanted to make a little something for my best friend who loves Cat Power, so I looked around and thought "Why not do the album cover for The Greatest?" So, here it is, but I wouldn't mind some helpful criticism. My boyfriend says she will probably recognize the boxing gloves since she's familiar with the album, but is there anything else I can do to make this look better? Sorry for the crappy cameraphone picture...

The back. Not much, but it's my first time knitting a sweater. And the green's much brighter. Crappy cameraphones.

I was stumped for what to get my sister for christmas until I ran across Little Birds' soft tree blog entry: http://littlebirds.typepad.com/little_birds_handmade/2006/11/soft_tree_patte.html (sorry, I can't figure out the hyperlink thing). These are adorable and my sister's a craft freak, so it's perfect!   

Something about them is so Dr. Seuss, I think I'll make some for myself!!

Woot woot! At an hour and a half from cutting to last stitch, it's a perfect last-minute Christmas present.

I started this thing waaaaaaaaaaay back in August, got halfway through before I screwed up the Lily of the Valley and had to start completely over (LIFELINES!!! I never knew about lifelines).

It's my first lace project and as such, I learned quite a bit: I should be pickier about yarn; lifelines (natch) are a must; you CAN block acrylic.  It's a crappy picture - the shawl is being modeled by my office chair, but what can you do.

I'm just happy it's done, dang it!
