23  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Wax Removal... Need help. on: October 02, 2006 04:31:14 PM
I dont know how well this will work on velvet, but ussually to get wax out of fabric, i place a papertowel over the fabric and iron over it. The wax melts and absorbs into the paper towel. Not sure of the effectiveness on this on velvet, but if nothing else works, its worth a try.
24  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Ideas for xmas gifts for men needed. on: October 02, 2006 04:29:32 PM
I dont know what you can do. Im a knitter and I generally go with a hat/scarf set for the guys (and mittens, if they're lucky)
25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: homecomming[UPDATED] on: September 30, 2006 12:19:47 PM
Have fun  (um...or...hope you had fun?) at homecoming. That dress is gorgeous on you!

My homecoming is tonight, and I got a date with the guy I really wanted to go with. Then several days beforehand, naturally, he gets injured and cant go. Ahh, my luck with guys.
26  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Baby pixie hat using Paton's SWS on: September 26, 2006 05:37:48 PM
I love the hat. The color changes rock, and its really cute.

Speaking of gnomes, this happened like 2 days ago, we have a door decoration contest for homecoming at my HS, and we just wanted to be stupid, so we drew a gnome, and wrote Gnomecoming, 2006. Not many people got it.
27  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Shedir Hat on: September 24, 2006 08:31:05 AM
Ahh. I love Shedir so much! And yours is just gorgeous. I need to make this hat at some point.

That turned out gorgeous. I cant wait to see how it will look with straps!
29  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Cropped hoodie shrug with Final Fantasy wings! YAY! on: September 17, 2006 07:32:10 PM
That is a really cute shrug. Im a HUGE fan of FF8 (lol, tiny crush on squall, not gunna lie). I cant wait to see the final sweater.

BTW, did you make that afghan below the shrug, because it is gorgeous!
30  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Fetching FO + 2 bonus WIP's! on: September 15, 2006 05:04:41 PM
That scarf is so gorgeous.  I love the colors (and i ussually avoid anything pink, but i would totally wear that). I tried that scarf with this yarn that I had gotten as a gift, that knits up gorgeously, but is horribly tempermental, likes to stick to itself, and has no strech whatsoever and anything besides basic knit and purl stitches make me crazy after about 2 lines. I really do want to try that project though with a different yarn.
