Is your old Dalek hat looking limp, could you use a new TARDIS lunchbox, or a replica Sonic Screwdriver? Then youre in the right swap! We will be swapping hoards of fun Doctor Who, Torchwood and Sarah Jane stuff to keep you going at least until the Torchwood DVDs come out this Autumn!

15  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Button & bead necklaces and bracelet. on: June 02, 2007 04:06:48 PM
I took a few hours out of A-level revision yesterday for some craft-shopping therapy Grin Ended up spending far too much money in the bead and button shop; just don't tell my mother that that's the reason I couldn't afford couldn't find myself a prom dress *GRIN*

16  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Wooden Spoons.. on: April 25, 2007 09:31:31 AM
My mum brought me home some wooden cutlery the other day (She knows I'm kookoo for this sort of thing Roll Eyes )

So, I have 4 spoons and a knief. They are very light weight and not very strong. They aren't varnished at all, and the wood is very light in colour.

Asside from making a spoon-family, I have no idea what to do! Cheesy

Any ideas, craftsters?

edit: have a picture!!

As you can see, the spoons aren't those you'd use in baking; more like wooden teaspoons, or perhaps slightly larger.
17  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Rainbows, Covered Handmirror on: April 21, 2007 04:35:34 PM
when my mum asked me if she could have the mirror out of my face powder once it'd run out, my mind instantly went to mansonette's polymer clay covered handmirrors.

I'd been meaning to attempt a cane for a while now too; so what more excuses did I need to use up most of my black fimo in one go?

I didn't use any tutorials, and ended up whimming the whole thing.

18  COOKING / Dessert / (Torchwood) Jack Harkness & Ianto Jones Cookies on: April 10, 2007 08:06:55 AM
I made these cookies a while ago, and totally forgot to post them! *idiot!*

Anyway, these guys are Jack and Ianto from the Doctor Who spinoff, Torchwood, one of my many, and presently my most persistent obsession.

The recipe I used can be found here; http://community.livejournal.com/bakebakebake/570136.html?thread=6448664#t6448664

The clothes are made out of ready-to-roll fondant icing (with so much paste food-colouring they are consequently inedible) and their hair is chocolate with a little icing sugar in there to thicken it.

I've since decided to do the rest of the team and a few of the Who cast to accompany the 5-layer chocolate cake TARDIS I'm doing for my 18th in July! Grin

19  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Doctor Who & Wormy Apple Fimo Earrings on: April 10, 2007 07:49:01 AM

20  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Jack Twist (Brokeback) Doll !!! on: May 19, 2006 01:00:01 PM
My best friend and I LOVED brokeback mountain, and since she's obsessed with Jake Gyllenhaal I made her a Jack Twist doll.

He's made from 2 socks and a bunch of scrap fabric.. And only took me about 8+ hours in all e____e;;;

Please excuse the shoddy photos, I had about 3 minuets to take them, wrap him, and run to catch my train.

I used the Hobbit Sock Doll Tutorial for his body, but everything else was guess work (Thus why his jeans make him look all bow-legged Cheesy ). The shirt was a bugger to get right. In  the end I glued down the seams before stitching them with the machine (which worked perfectly, funnily enough!)
