11  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / What to do with 3 sks of Kureyon other than a Booga Bag? on: August 29, 2006 03:25:35 PM
I have 3 sks of Kureyon that I got on sale at my LYS.  They were the last 3 or I would have gotton more.  I'm thinking something felted as I don't particularly care for the feel of it against my skin.

Any suggestions?
12  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / A faster pair of socks? on: August 29, 2006 12:39:21 PM
Anyone know of any sock patterns that aren't knit on size 0-4 needles?  Something maybe in a 5 or 6?  I'm looking through my books but everything seems to be for smaller needles.  I'm not ready to invest that kind of time at the moment.  =)
13  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Addi vs Inox Express Circs? on: August 27, 2006 03:05:23 PM
Just wondering if anyone's tried the Inox Express and how they compare to the Addi Turbos?  I love my Addi's, but wish the tips were pointier.  I'm considering the knitpicks ones but thought I'd ask around about Inox first.

I haven't posted anything in a while, so here's what I've been up to.  Sorry for my child's dirty face - he had just eaten a popsicle.   Cheesy

15  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Miu Miu Gloves on: July 27, 2006 10:21:03 AM

I'm not sure if these have been posted.  They are gorgeous and look relatively simple to knit.  But, I have no idea how to go about making up a pattern for it....  anyone want to help?  =)  Thanks!
16  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Pattern ideas for this Ribbon Yarn? Yarn Bee Aurora on: July 27, 2006 05:34:42 AM

Details:  95% Polyamide and 5% Polyester. Use USA size 15 knitting needles.

I bought 4 skeins of it with no particular project in mind.  =)

17  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help with Gauntlet Pattern @ Straw.com on: July 25, 2006 02:23:57 PM

Does anyone have any idea how to make these so that they stay in place - like something for the thumb?  I dunno if I should make a hole or pick up stitches inside the ribbed area around the hand and make a divider for the thumb.

Does that even make sense?  Cheesy
18  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Bipolar Knitters? on: July 19, 2006 12:40:15 AM
I have seen ADD knitting talked about here, but any Bipolar knitters?  Anyone else fall in love with a pattern, start a huge project, get so far into it that it would break your heart to rip it out, then hate it with a passion and not want to finish?

I have several projects like this.  I can't bear to rip them out, but honestly, I don't know if I'll ever pick them up and work on them again because I want to scream when I think about them.

If anyone else is like this, what do you do in order to bring yourself back to a point where you can work on your project again?

19  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / cascade luna yarn - anyone used this? on: July 13, 2006 01:16:11 PM
I'm wondering how it is to work with and what people have made with it.

20  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Looking for a pattern for wristwarmers to match a scarf on: July 12, 2006 11:42:20 AM
I'm working on this scarf - called Fanned Rib Scarf from Knit Ponchos, Wraps & Scarves....  I posted a crappy photo below.  Basically, I'm looking for something that flares or ruffles a bit at the hand part, but still has a thumb hole....

Actually, perhaps something similar to Mrs. Beeton from knitty.... here:  http://www.knitty.com/issuewinter05/PATTmrsbeeton.html

but, I want them to be longer - and have a thumb hole.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance!!!
