the cake is a bit of an inside story, but the cat is just grumpy. polymer clay is super fun! enjoy!

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: What to do with Cross stitch? on: August 17, 2006 08:00:08 AM
well, i'm certainly blown away! i was going to say you could turn it into a bag (definitely not grandma style!), or you could make a wall scroll kind of thing with them, maybe sew them onto a nice piece of fabric and hang that on the wall- that avoids the whole framing problem, and would look neat, i think!

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: fuzzy awesomeness! (i.e. legwarmers) on: August 14, 2006 09:06:01 AM
hm, i don't know why my pics always seem to work for half the people who look at them and then are broken for the other half...

how do those fit your leg since they are on the knifty knitter loom thing?

i have one and want to make these but im worried they will be too big for my leg?

mine just happened to be the right size, totally by coincidence, but i'm making a set for my friend who has much skinnier legs than me- i'm going to use the same loom (unless i can find a smaller one) but i'm going to sew in a ribbon at the top she can use to keep the legwarmers on. big bows were pretty 80s too, right?
