1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Stocking Stuffer Ideas on: November 09, 2010 07:20:04 PM
Always chocolate coins as a tribute to the origin of Christmas stockings. A candy cane. And for some reason, men (and boys) always seem to love flashlights. Which would mean adding extra batteries to the stocking as well.

What a wonderful gift for your son. Not just Huckle cat, but the whole thing. Wonderful.

My favorite is the tree of life. I can picture it twinkling in the lights.

Those are beautiful hair ties. What a good idea. And well done, too.

Very nice. The first one (reds and golds) is my favorite.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: lotsa thread crochet (pic heavy) on: March 10, 2008 04:39:30 PM
Really nice work. It is amazing how far one ball of thread will go, isn't it?

I have made the earrings and the first and third doilies, but the bookmark is my favorite.
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Pink and Brown Thread Necklace on: March 10, 2008 04:33:26 PM
Wow. Thanks for all the great comments. It is a necklace meant to be worn at the base of the throat. There is a snap behind the brown leaf on the right so you can put it on.
It probably took about ten hours.
Thread is not my favorite thing to crochet. The thread makes a tender little groove on the index finger as you are working, so I just spread the time over several days if necessary.
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pink and Brown Thread Necklace on: March 10, 2008 03:30:23 PM
This is for a swap on Swap-bot. The recipient said pink and brown is one of her favorite color combinations and I just happened to have thread in those two colors.

The pattern is in the Nov/Dec 2007 issue of Crochet Today.
I think it came out looking very nice. Hope she likes it.

They are all so cute. Love the faces.

Thanks for the inspiration.
