Awww thanks everybody  Smiley To answer your question AsphaltQueen, I'd say the difficultly on this one is between beginner and intermediate.  The only tricky parts were picking up the stitches from the garter stitch strip on the bottom and getting the sleeves set in (I don't have a whole lot of sweater experience though and it went OK).  I'm not sure if I'd pick it for my first sweater project since it was a little tough to hide mistakes with the big wool, but if you got the baby sweater put together and want to do it then I say go for it   Smiley

I just finished Salina from Rowan Vintage Knits about a week ago...this is the first "real" sweater I've done so I'm pretty excited!  I was so excited that I made my boyfriend take a bunch of pictures around town...here's a few!

I made a Basic Cable hat for my friend for Christmas, here it is from the back....

and here my roomate is modeling it, she's trying to look like the girl in the book  Smiley

I think it's a little small, but the girl I'm making it for has a small head so I'm hoping it will work out OK!

And in case you are wondering, the giant orange thing in the picture is something my roomate's dad spray painted to match our curtains  Smiley It's not the most attractive thing but it's a good conversation piece!

I just finished blocking my swatch...I knit waaaaaay two tight (I think because this was my first attempt at two-handed knitting) and my gauge is off.  I'm using knitpicks merino style and ended up with 26 stitches per 4'' on size 5 needles.  So I think I'm going to try another swatch and see if I get any closer, although with all this talk of Telemark I'm tempted to switch to that.  I'm getting impatient though, I want to get one made so I can wear it  Smiley
