3  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Re: how about a reconstructed t-shirt challenge? on: June 05, 2006 12:51:51 PM
I LOVE the idea.. but I think it would be kind of tricky to be original. Some of us don't have the money for books with tons of reconstructions in them, so a good 1/3 of us would be using ideas from ohmystars.

Maybe we could modify this idea a little to make it a bit more broad?

I had this idea earlier this week when I was at the dollar tree!! They have grab bags of random crap for a ollar, I thought it would be really interesting to have that be a craft challenge.

8  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: blerg. first website *try now* on: May 09, 2006 02:53:29 AM
I might suggest re-posting something like this when you have more of an actual shop-design. This just looks like a myspace that has nothing to offer! no photos of what you make, and I am soooo curious! (If there are photos in your blog, it's set to friends only just so you know ^_^).

I would maybe try doing a faux livejournal set up instead of a myspace one. Myspace isn't nearly as easy to manipulate into looking and feeling like a store. Click the link in my sig for a completely random example, it might inspire you! Also, if you need any help figuring out how to set that up I would be more than happy to give you some pointers.

The biggest keys are:

1. Always show product pictures. It doesn't matter how cool anything sounds, if we can't see it, no one cares.
2. Make it fuctional, and easily so! We need to be ale to get around easily and aimply so that we don't get fed up and bored.
3. Just... get off of myspace. I tried that with my buiness and all I got were old dudes that wanted to add me because the pictures of the girls modeling my stuff were hot.
9  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Would Anyone Want One? on: May 09, 2006 02:44:28 AM
Those are really, REALLY cute! Honestly, they look well made and they are very in right now. I would ebay those suckers! I agree with the plus size comment too. I might actually consider getting on myself if you do that! Also, that style of shirt is really flattering on curvey girls, so you could get a lot of business there.
10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: brainstorming for a Crooked Halo Logo on: May 09, 2006 02:42:05 AM
I'm picturing either punk-rock tribal looking wings with the logo printed over them where a body would go, and a (crooked) halo above the lettering, or as mentioned above a mischevious darkish angel face, but peeking over the logo and wearing a crooked halo.

I may be being bling but do you have a link? I'd love to check out your work!
