Here is my second sock monkey ever. This one I made all by hand since the kitten design was embroidered on causing the threads to get stuck in the sewing machine.

I got into the sock monkey craze and found these super cute pink kitty socks to use. This is my second sock monkey ever and I had to make it all by hand since the kittens were embroidered, causing the threads to get caught up in my machine. I do love pink, and hope to make more stuff in this color, but it seems the month has gone by so fast. Hmmm, yellow?

I am thinking of making another one this weekend, or soon. Or maybe a sock something else, like a puppy.

Can anyone give me tips on getting longer arms and also making a fuller mouth?

This is my first, completed, sewing project ever! Well at least using my sewing machine, which I got, became frustrated with, stopped using and then finally, after months and months, tried again and figured it out, mostly. I saw the sock monkey idea and thought it looked like a possiblity for me since I could do it without a pattern and it is already partly sewn to begin with.

I think it turned out okay for my first one. The arms are a bit short and there are a few spots where the sock started to unravel, but I think he is super cute anyway. I also used extra soft sock which makes him very cuddly! I named him Momo the Monkey
