11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Weekend swap 3 on: September 29, 2007 01:49:55 AM
Maybe there's some confusion with these swaps and the Mini Halloween Swap which is US only?

That would be it, I think.  Because the last weekend one was Halloween themed, wasn't it?

I'm in Israel, which is close to Europe enough...
And, I might add, she's an excellent swapper! Wink

Hmmm, still thinking on whether or not I'll join this one.  But that's good because there's a while before sign ups start! Cheesy

Firstly, let me say that I don't know anything about wrestling, but I like your design.  Isn't a clothesline more about the wrestler sticking their arm out horizontally and the opponent running into it?

If that's right, I would change the desing slightly so that the two wrestlers have their inside arm (ie, the one closest to the middle of the front of the shirt) out straight horizontally and still holding the line, that would make it a bit more obvious I think.

If you leave it as is, I would leave the wording in there too.  Great work, though!

Are these weekend swaps still going to be US only?  I mean, I can see the point from instant gratification etc, but . . . *le sigh*

I'm sorry I only just found this swap, I would have loved to join as well!  I will keep an eye on the gallery though Cheesy

OK, so all is well here.  I didn't have to redo the medium item and I think it's turned out quite well.  Not perfect, but I'm sure Saor's hubby will love it Cheesy  My hubby did!  (Add another something to the crafting queue . . . )

I'm working on another medium now and it's also going well, then I just have a couple of little things to go.

I'm sorry, I'm the weakest link, I think!

I currently have librarylass' teatowel and starberri's apron because I was waiting for the extra piece of the apron to arrive and with it came the teatowel.  I also got stuck for an idea of what to put on the apron, but I've since cleared that up and have finished stitching it today.  I hope to have the teatowel done by the end of the week and because I'm on postal rations atm (DH just got paid, but it happens monthly and this month's all went on bills), I will send them both on at the same time.  I'm thinking at this stage it will be Friday.

Checkin' in.  Progress has stalled due to uni assignments (can you say three due on the same day?  Shocked Undecided Cry)  And I think I'll have to start my medium one again (which should ultimatley make it quicker to make, I hope!) but DH has put me on a crafting supplies shopping ban as he just got paid and it's all gone on bills.  So I will have to rethink a different medium present.  Or it might become a small one instead.  Damn workplaces that only pay monthly . . . *rhubarb, rhubarb, rhubarb*

Great work, Cumber.  I really like the Dr Who shirts.  What sort of letters did you use for them?  Are they stencilled or painted or those iron on ones?

20  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / AUSTRALIA / Re: Fabric Stores in Melbourne on: September 10, 2007 05:25:20 AM
I like "the cloth shop" on Burgundy St in Heidelberg too.  Pretty good range.  Also "Flashback" in High St Northcote has vintage fabrics.  They seem a bit pricey though.
