181  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Re: Halloween House Decorations-- everyone post your pictures / share ideas on: October 07, 2006 10:44:17 AM
We love Halloween but don't go all out yet.  Here's some pics:
This is our ghost made from an old wedding veil, mostly sentimental to us.

These are our paper mache head things.  We are going to put a few hanging up with sheets flowing out.

Our spooky corner:
182  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My hats & cute kids on: October 07, 2006 10:39:05 AM
Yes, I made them all, the hats and the kids!

Originally I thought about selling them, the hats-not the kids, well... Wink  Anyway but as much as I love the hats they're not that original.  KWIM?
183  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Guinea Pigs new home on: October 06, 2006 05:10:45 PM
I love it!  She looks like she has lots of room to run and play!  I built a new cage for one of our guineas but it didn't work out too well.  I have one question though, is it hard to change the bedding?  Nice job!
184  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Yay!! First Completed Scarf! on: October 06, 2006 06:33:24 AM
Good Job!  My first scarf grew to be some kind of shawl/ blanket thing, ugh!  I like the colors too!
185  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: show and tell... pom pom bag for a little girl on: September 27, 2006 10:43:54 AM
Just wanted to let you know that as I was reading your post my two little girls (ages 3 & 5) were looking over my shoulder.  They not only LOVE your purses but want me to make them each a set too!  Unfortunately, I don't really sew...  The purses are really quite adorable!

Wowser!  I need to come here more often for my moral lifting!  You ladies have inspired me, I still have no clue what I am going to be but I am going to be whatever I want, regardless of my size.  Sorry for the run-on sentence.  I'm just so gosh-darned excited now!

187  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Pricing? on: September 24, 2006 04:18:49 PM
Thanks so much for replying!  I have asked my friends but they, like me, tend to price way too low.  As soon as I can figure out how to do the picture thing I'll post some pictures of my purses. Thanks again!

188  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / + Size costume ideas? on: September 22, 2006 06:34:27 AM
Hello!  My good friend from England is coming over for her first real American Halloween and I am feeling the pressure to make it awesome.  I thought it would be fun if not only the kids but the parents dressed up too.  Which got me thinking, I am a plus-sized mama but I want a cool costume.  Any ideas for the bigger gals?  Thanks so much!

189  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Pricing? on: September 21, 2006 06:33:40 AM
Hello all!
I am new to posting but long time lurker.  I am getting a camera this weekend so I'll be able to post pics.  Until then, how much should I charge for recycled plastic bag crochet purses?  I'm sure you've seen them on the internet.  I make small, about 6 or 7 inches long by 8 or 9 inches tall purses.  They have handles.  I have recently gotten requests for them but have no idea how much to charge.  I've checked out everyone's formulas on here but still am clueless.  The materials don't technically cost me anything but I do spend about 4 to 6 hours per purse. This includes making the "yarn".  Any ideas?

190  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Newbie needing help here! (gift for friend) on: May 04, 2006 11:45:11 AM
Hi All!
I have been reading for quite some time but this is my first post.  I love your imagination & ideas and am hoping you can help.  My very good girlfriend's husband is getting a vasectomy in a few weeks.  She is happy about it but at the same time a little sad to be saying goodbye to any more babies.  I want to give her something that signifies the closing of this door and the opening off another.  Does anyone have any ideas?  Thank you so much!
