Did you use meringue powder? I just made some today and it worked fine, but if you don't have the meringue powder it won't work. I gotmine from mexicansugarskull.com, but I also saw some at michaels. Other that that I agree w/ previous that it might be too wet.

In desparation (my husband's neck is hurting him) I made one this morning out of an old sock and rice.

Hey, it works...

A teen librarian is a librarian who serves young adults, we order teen books, create programs for them, and try to make sure the adult librarians aren't too mean to the teenagers in the library.

This month I'm doing button mosaic pots, and in the past i've done altoid tin shrines, book purses and felt monsters.

(The drafternoon name have been popular, thanks Library Lolita!)

I wanted it for the library where I work, and my wholesaler doesn't have it. I can't order from amazon for work.  Sad

Please request these books at your library! I'm doing my best at my library (where i work) to replace the corny craft books with new cooler books, but it can be an uphill battle. You'd be surprised how much the "ducks in bonnets" books get circulated!
Any suggestions for new books would be appreciated.

BTW- the budget thing, not so much. Public library budgets are very low compared to thier usefullness to the community, and books are expensive, so if you want more, newer craft books, vote yes on their next budget increase!

Does anyone have any suggestions to "Cool Up" a dreary ducks in bonnets craft section in a public library? General craft books that aren't corney would be a great start!

Thanks,
sparkiy
