11  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions / Re: need to find a free or low cost site to display my art on: October 22, 2006 07:02:27 PM
Blogger would work nicely if you're aiming for an easy-to-follow-chronologically photo essay.  You can show the entire process on one page.

DA is great if you want things organized in a gallery.  Unfortunately, people won't be able to view your comments on a stage until they click the picture of said stage.  It's a good place to showcase it, though, since there are already a ton of people using that place to explore art.

IDEA!!!:
On the outside of the cigar boxes, put photos of the inside of it, but with little things that might normally go inside.  Have it so that photo on top would be a birdseye view of the inside, the front of it would be a view from that angle, etc.

What you could put INSIDE:
Develop another photo, printed on the bottom and have it be a birdseye view into some sort of vortex -- looking off a cliff into the ocean, the inside of a toiletbowl, a neverending-hall-of-mirrors effect ...

Good luck with it.

Ahh!  I completely adore how you took who is meant to be the bad character and made her somewhat of a saint.  Beautiful idea, nicely done.
