1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / 2 year anniversary coming up! Help! on: September 08, 2006 11:19:26 PM
Well, originally I was going to make my boyfriend a custom messenger bag for our anniversary and then we moved and I still can't get to the sewing machine, so I'd really love to come up with another idea. Here is some basic information:

    * What's the occasion?  2 year anniversary
    * Relationship to you - Boyfriend
    * Age - 20
    * Likes dislikes - Music, electronics, technology
    * Hobbies - Guitar, electronics, technology, building things
    * Previous gifts - Last year I made him a concert keeper out of a binder and inserts and collaged the front and back of it. He loved it and still uses it to this day.
    * Style - He's very handy and into building things. He plays guitar, is into electronics and technology.

Let me tell you a little bit about us. We're in our young 20's and we have lived together for a year now. We've been friends for a long time, but together for two years come this month. We have a dog and a cat and we have moved SO much that it has stressed both of us out to no end. We're in a very, very stressful situation right now and we're currently killing ourselves looking for another place to live. I have very limited resources, but I'd love to do something special for him. I'd truly be grateful for any ideas you might have.

Thank you!
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Father's Day / Gift idea for a step-dad that had brain surgery. on: June 05, 2006 11:56:54 AM
June nearly marks my step father's 2 year anniversary of having brain surgery, but this year, he's seemed a bit off and I'm not real sure why. I know it isn't my business to pry, but he seems really down in the dumps.

I'd like to make him something witty with the whole brain theme, but with a sentimental edge using maybe some pictures or something of my sisters and I. Maybe something for his desk at work.

Ideas, anyone? :]
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Quilted tote. on: May 31, 2006 07:25:18 AM
Hello everyone,

I am trying to make a quilted tote and I've never done it before, so I was curious if anyone knew of a tutorial or something I could follow. Even if it is a replica of one that may or may not be quilted, that could work too. I searched the boards and couldn't find anything with a tutorial. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / Love is... photos to stencil? on: May 04, 2006 07:48:04 AM
I am trying to find some photos of the comic "Love is..." to stencil. I can't seem to find anything big enough for the project, everything I find is way too small. Any ideas?  Smiley
