1  Re: I Love BUTTONS Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Guin on: June 19, 2008 11:57:07 AM
Finally found the camera and managed to get the pictures cropped to actually fit on a normal screen! Yay! Here is the loveliness sent to me by Kmartkid!

First thing I saw when I opened the box was this spiffy book cover. It even has a bookmark! How'd you know I like periwinkle??

The detail's not too good on the buttons, but there's a huge variety for my buttony experiments! And a purple pouch I can decorate with some buttons, AND a button-eyed cat! I wonder if he'll get along with my stuffed penguins?

And as if all that loot wasn't enough, Kmartkid sent a book in the book cover!

Thanks Kmartkid! And thanks everyone for being patient...the camera I used is *actually* not mine, so it took a bit longer to post than I planned.

2  Re: Bento Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Guin on: January 15, 2008 03:03:37 PM
Finally! Pics from (edit: the package I received from) our Swap-Boss plumpossum! Bask in the glory!

La Package included a star shaped mini-cookie cutter, petit four papers (too cute!), a neat green gear-case with zipper, a green 2-tier bento box (Hello Kitty style) and a separate divided-compartment Hello Kitty bento (with spork!), penguin winter napkins, 4 glittery plastic boxes, a food embroidery pattern (I love embroidery!) and some magnets, both blank and with food names on them - I think they're for menu planning?
Cool-cool sewn items: Napkins, delicately embroidered for each day o' the week and (drumroll) the Bag of Identical Fabric. Which incidentally rocks. Observe the cute buckle. The lil peek of green is the bento box (we've had lots of rain lately and the jokers who misdirected the package allowed its contents to get damp, resulting in an immediate need for napkins and bag to have a bath. But they're better now - wrinkly, but better!)

Many many thanks!

3  R2D2 Finger Puppet! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Guin on: December 13, 2007 10:25:52 PM
Finally - a project to post! I've only been lurking and making text commentary for HOW long??

I'm making a series of Star Wars finger puppets for one of my friends (she's a huge fan of SW and Pink Five). I did one of C3PO first but, as usual, R2D2 looks cooler.

It's not perfect, but it sparkles! I haven't made finger puppets in a long time Undecided
Have a great one!
