21  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: YES ASIA AND ORDERING BOOKS on: October 26, 2006 03:49:33 PM
Smiley  Hi All, another update since there's a topic on YesAsia and felt mascot books.  The Taiwan/Chinese section also has a couple of books to make felt mascots/crafts.   Wink  Here's the site FYI if anyone is interested:

http://us.yesasia.com/en/brPrdDept.aspx?section=books&code=c&did=3805

I've done reviews as well on all the books YesAsia carries that I own, please feel free to go to the reviews under Mustang7. Cheesy

There are also quite a few beading books and crochet stuff.  Search and have fun. Oh, and a couple of the books I ordered is Bilingual, Chinese/English.

OMG -  Shocked  Another wonderful creation....WONDERF UL Paperdaisies  Wink.  Totally loving the creativity of the 2nd girl.  Just as cute, if not cuter than the first.   Roll Eyes Although, between the two, I LUV THEM BOTH!!  Still haven't tried my hand at it yet, but when I do, I'll let you know for sure.  You should make a pattern to post then you can maybe do a challenge.  Hugs!!

OMG how creative and totally cute.   Cheesy  Full of cuteness.  Thanks for sharing the pattern.  I'll have to give it a go.  Also, kinda reminds me of the Japanese Craft book pets from Aranzi Aronzo.   Cool

30  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Starting projects with felt! Suggestions? on: September 30, 2006 04:52:12 PM
I'm with Katie.   Wink  However, I use whatever felt I can find, LOL.  The projects come out just fine.  Be careful though, like all fabric check the stretch direction.  It will affect how the mascot/dolls turn out.  Another thing is what are you making it for.....most mascots are made more for decroative purposes and won't be washed, therefore, I think the regular felt is fine.  Of course it depends what you prefer working with.   Grin
