This is not only my very first craft challenge but also the first time I have posted pictures...so hopefully I can do this
As soon as I saw this challenge, I knew I had to enter. My daughter & I have loved Cooking Mama forever and we are super excited for Crafting Mama!
For this challenge I decided to make a wall quilt for my sewing/crafting room. My daughter & I crack up every time we see the Cooking Mama with the fire in her eyes, so I decided I had to do something with that image. I started with a pixelated chart (thanks to my brother, who is wonderful!).
I bought pink, brown, green, red & tan fat 1/8 rolls from Joann's, then starting cutting them into 1 1/2 inch squares. By eyeing the chart & counting squares, I started assembling Mama's head.
I worked one row at a time. One square to another until I had a complete row. Then when all the rows were done, I sewed each row together to make a very cute wall quilt modeled by my lovely daughter!
Here is a closeup of the corner tag that I stitched up.
Finally, Mama is at home, watching over me when I sew & warning all those who might bug me to back off!
Thanks for looking...this has been a lot of fun!! I think I might now have the challenge bug!
