281  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Yes .Real Cowboys wear leather corsets ! on: June 14, 2007 09:24:03 PM
Here is  You guessed it another corset .. but I'm really kinda proud of this one ... Its my first time working with real leather .. and it happened on accident along time ago I got a nice leather jacket on sale for like 12 bucks.. it was great but then my dog ate half of it  Angry Sad ... But the other day Hobby Lobby was having a huge sale as they often do.. and I found this awesome cowbow/southwestern print bandanna ...for ONLY 23 CENTS  !  Grin I wanted to make a corset with it , but it wasn't quite enough ...  Huh so flash of Genius .. and I think of the leather coat SO I put the 2 together ...
Also I made the matching bracelet & bolo ( it still needs beads ) and i reconed the Hat ages ago ....( plain hat + spray paint + patch and piercing .... and alot of bending ! )
any way without further ado .. The Cowboy corset

the back ( I acually made it a lil big .. so Ill prollly add straps )...and you cant really tell in the pics but there are 2 rows of boning in the back aswell

and close up of bolo

Thanks so much for looking .. and as always I value your comments  Smiley

Have a great night /day

original tight leg

reconed lace leg

284  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Pin Stripes , Lace and Fancy Red Snapps ! on: June 09, 2007 10:47:11 AM
Hello ,

Here is a quick little skirt I whipped up last night ...it is for some reason super hard to photograph....its grey and lighter grey pin stripe...I decided to keep it pretty much flat , but with a little pleated part in the front ( similar to a skirt I already owned )...I was gonna go puffy with it .. but the pinstripes demanded something a bit more sleek ..and I didint want a plain mini ... so this is the compromise.. Cheesy Wink any way I was also going to just hem the bottom plain .. but when I realized I had such Awesome red Snaps I decided to add the red lace at the bottom too .. any way thank you for looking and please tell me what you think ... oh also the waist of the skirt is lined with cute ghost fabric and the bottom is 2 separate layers of the pinstripe .. because it was a lil thin...

Thanks again for taking the time to look...
 Have a great day

P.s. sorry for the not so great pics . and honestly the skirt dosnt look so splotchy and dirty in real life

It has a cool diagonal zipper ...

I'm proud of my self for actually making the silky trim ...

And I did a distressed pink camo Skull and cross bones on the back .. inspired by another craftster ( sorry I cant find the post ) or Id credit you ... Embarrassed

Thanks so much for looking .. please let me know what you think ...
and special thanks to Cerriocity kills ... for the inspiration

286  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / rushed, puffy, lace, gothic.... on: June 04, 2007 12:51:45 PM
Hello everyone  Smiley

First off ... "Yes" I did get my Hair cut ! lol its a big deal for me .. ( first hair cut in 11 years)

Any way on to the sewing ... Here is A quick skirt I made .. using red sheers and a lace curtain panel .. I think it looks kinda Victorian Goth to me ...Its not very practical for everday .. but it makes for good pictures and I'm sure it will come in handy as some sort of costume ...
I used the drawstring method for the rushed part in the middle of the front and back .. so its adjustable too ... Also the Bows are just safety pined on for now .. because I think the shade of red is wrong .. it needs to be closer to the color of the waist band .. But the only red lace I had on hand is what you see.. there is also black lace in the ribbon but its kinda hard to See against the  black... Any way let me know what you think ...

Oh yeah sorry for the excess of pics .. Me and my Auto Timer had a fun fake Photo Shoot today lol Cheesy

close up of the rushing detail

here it is on my dress form .. so you can see the bottom better

oh and hte shirt Im wearing is not the one I intended to .. the other one is way cuter but I couldnt find it ....

Thanks so much for looking
As always Have a great night

288  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / little Jungle corset skirt on: May 29, 2007 12:59:44 PM
Hello ...
Here is a  very very short .. riskay skirt I made outta some really cool multi animal print curtains I found at a rummage sale ..any way ... Sadly Sad I am way to pale to pull it off... I think it would look so great on a dark chocolate or mocha skin tone ... but on me you can hardly see the fish net trim at the bottom ....

Anyway .. here it is .. although Ill prolly never wear it .. oh the top i have on with it isn't the greatest either

Oh know its  quite skimpy .. but it wasnt meant for " public " wear ...

that being said Id love openions

Have a great day

290  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / painting from 10 th grade ... on: May 24, 2007 01:35:25 PM

This painting isn't that great ... but its the only painting Iv done that I actually have in my hose .. my Mom takes most of them... any way .. I made this years ago ... in 9th or 10th grade .. and it actually got entered by the art teacher into a contest ( didint win ) but I was pleased it was even entered considering at the time it was in a white frame and I hated they way the whole painting looked ...

But several years later I tore the frame off and spray painted it black and wa la .. I all of the sudden could stand it ... the frame is now in terrible disarray and needs a new one .. just do to its age in general .. but My friend Rusty seems to really love  it and always remarks on it .. so i hope some one else likes it too....

its a photo of the painting sorry... Embarrassed

thanks so so much for looking
 Have a great night

Oh yeah its a shoe .. we had to do a cubist style painting of one of several objects the teacher had out on a table ....
