Wow these are great!  Friday Fiber never ceases to amaze me.

I have been gone for some time, but I am back with two skeins that took...umm over a month to finish....mostly because we could not get back to our house...

First up is Spunky Eclectic spun with moonstone and pearls

The second is a batte from Luxe Fiber Spun with felted flowers and silk thread to ply

I cannot wait to see what everyone else has today Smiley

I received my items last week from one of you, but I am unsure who.  I just got out there today to take some pics.  My custom has claimed the lepard dress but she is currently headless so we had to do some clothing changes to figure it all out Smiley   Cheesy  Please let me know who this was...I got in narrowed down to two Wink Cheesy

Thank you so much though!!!!

The dress is actually the first think I ever sewn.  It still needs closure in the back as you can see it popping open here.

I have a few items that were done last week and this week...unfortunatel y last weeks finished drying on Saturday so I could not make it for FF.

Here is some merino/silk 80/20 blend:

Plum Corriedale Ply w/Mohair/Angelina Thread (handspun as well)

Corriedale w/Red Locks

This weeks batch taken in the snow courtesy of the blizzard we just had here in Colorado.

Chocolate Covered Cherries

I have not had a chance to wash/set the following.  This is my first venture with a thinner yarn.  I was going for sock weight yarn to give to my friend for Christmas.
Green Goddess

Well that is all I will have for a bit.  We are going to CA the FL as soon as we can get thru the airport...

5  Another Newbie with First Handspun! in Spinning: Completed Projects by adore_one on: December 10, 2006 11:37:14 AM
I would love some helpful comments.  This was my first handspun ever on my new wheel.  I decided to ply it so I would not have pooling.  I have 83 yards of this and 37 more of a single (one bobbin was fuller than the other) The single I need to set the twist.  I will set the twist with this puppy but it hang surprisingly straight.  I was dancing around after that!  Also - I may be getting a real lazy kate for christmas so I expect that will help with the plying...I just used the bobbin holders...so there were a couple of times with issues...but overall I am proud.  Grin

I also posted a picture of the new wheel and her handpainted side at least on the blog.  Cheesy

6  Re: Lace Edged Jacket-a-long!! (Summer 06 Vogue Knitting) in Knitalongs by adore_one on: August 08, 2006 09:19:04 AM
I have that same four rows of madness at the top as well.  Honestly this was my first sweater I am scared to seam and I just thought that was normal  Undecided

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?  You can see the sleeve cap here:

Sorry I cut off the top.  I also did the crochet edge, but have since realized that I did a slip stitch vs. single crochet so all that must be ripped out as well.
