21  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: my first go with PMC on: December 29, 2008 11:04:48 AM
Wonderful.. Over time the pmc will fade or tarnish.. or even give off a "weathered" look.. which will make the leaf even more presentable.

You mean to tell me, that you or person in your home do not have a used "laptop" case?.. with the shoulder harness?.. or maybe two old leather belts?.. or maybe three..
23  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: Has anyone dealt with Fire Mountain Gems? on: December 29, 2008 08:21:39 AM
After reading the post, Some are or should I say most are in favor of Fire Mountain, as well as myself and my wife. Yet we do have other catalogs to order other supplies which fire Mountain doesn't offer.. Of I'm sure if my wife and I were to sit down and say "this is what we want" etc.. Fire Mountain would get it..
Granted Fire Mountain can't have everything.. or can they...

As for the folks there at Fire Mountain.. I have a feeling they would bend over backwards to suit the needs of the customers.. and if you haven't spoken with anyone there.. maybe you should schedule a trip to Washington State for an onsite tour..
24  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Discussion and Questions / Re: Help with ideas and instructions on: December 29, 2008 06:17:02 AM
In time My wife will get back into the swing of things.. and offer instructions at her site.. (she was waiting for me to complete her craft room) We still need some tables to offer in home classes, and a few more beading supplies.

However, that is then, this is now.. Google these key words: "Beading and Earring Instructions"

The first site that came up within the search: http://www.beadage.net/

Allot of times, going to your local college and taking a very inexpensive course in beading or jewelry crafting, can help one learn new skills and talents, At this point in my wife's skills she is ready to turn from the beading and jewelry aspect, to Stain Glass. (learning a verity of skills and increasing your talents in "all" areas can only help you develop your specialty).

So do not limit your self, learn from others.
25  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Need help transferring a photo to a rock on: December 28, 2008 09:54:51 AM
I recall once, A two part polyurethane coating.. basically you would coat the rock or stone first, then place the picture or image on the wet coating.. and allow to dry.. I would guess two hours drying time (if not more).. Then place another coat on top of the other one and the image.. Thus sealing the image onto the rock and within the coating.

For someone who claims to be a "newbie" you work has a style all its own.. and is very professional.. never use the term "newbie" doesn't suit you our your style.
