11  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Mermaid and octopus...photo chubby.. on: November 20, 2009 04:20:24 PM
Oh.

My.

GOD.

The octopus is easily the coolest Halloween costume I've ever seen! I actually want to make this for myself. It looks so much cuter on your little girl, though!

I can see why you guys were laughing all night, it's just so well done!

The mermaid is really cool as well, nice work. This may be one of the few times I've seen people use shiny fabric effectively.

I adore that gingerbread house! I thought it was real in the 1st pic before I read the post!

My DC# says my package was delivered Wednesday, so I assume it's safe to post pics! Sorry for the low light, ya work with what ya got! Here is what I sent AbsurdAnnekuh:

The whole package

The little guys are getting beamed back up to the mother ship: Adipose stationery! (15 sheets, 10 envelopes)

This fella is also waving hello on the front of the envelope near the seal.

And my finest achievement, the Dalek washcloths! I used this amazing pattern: http://www.entropyhouse.com/penwiper/who/dalekcloth.html The page says "exfoliate, exfoliate!" Hahaha!
In an attempt to make dueling Daleks, I tried to reverse the pattern on the white one (to mix it up a bit) so I ended up with a few mistakes on that one :-/.
I painted this TARDIS jewelry box.

I made an abstract interior inspired by the inside of the TARDIS from the new series.

And finally, some iron-ons featuring AbsurdAnnekuh's favorite quotes from Doctor who and Torchwood. (The ones I printed out are flipped, don't worry!)

Haha, AWESOME!

It's so cute, weird, and most of all visually interesting. I absolutely adore the colors.

Nice work, your friends are gonna love it!

Hmm, I haven't heard from olive_juice either...

Has anyone out there gotten a message from her lately?

Wowsers! That TARDIS sewing kit really takes the cake!

Although I am in the States my BF obtained a copy of the Waters of Mars. Anyone else seen it? Oh my, it was a bit dark... good, but, yeah.  Shocked
19  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / Re: Ginger Bread house Challenge! on: November 12, 2009 12:12:02 PM
I love it! I think this idea needs to be done. Looks like it's been suggested a few different times and I'd do it for sure.

It wouldn't have to be gingerbread houses strictly, it could be any interpretation of it, cookie or not (plushies, knitwear, even beading!)

A general celebration of holiday sweets!! I see endless possibilities.

Very cool! If it hasn't been suggested already, it would be fun to use gingerbread house as a theme for a Craftster challenge...
