I just wanted to add that the chair from PeeWee's Playhouse was named "Chair-y"

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: quilt from baby clothes? on: February 04, 2008 08:18:37 PM
I like to use sheets for the backs of my quilts. My mom just dug out some old sheets from when I was a kid - PacMan, Car Bears, and the California Raisins. They feel nice, and they're cheap...

This is FANTASTIC!

I, too, am surprised no one has answered. If I were you, I'd buy a magazine. Flip through them and find a pretty quilt, then check in the back of it to make sure it has the "finishing" directions (almost all of them have the basics in the back). That's how I would start, if I were you. There are lots of places online to get instructions, also. Just do a Yahoo! or Google search...good luck!

My suggestions would be: sew the whole thing together, then quilt it OR the exact opposite - quilt each piece separately, then sew them together.
6  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Lazy Goldfish - New Site on: October 27, 2006 08:05:51 AM
I love the colors, but I feel like it needs more pictures in more places. I should know what I'm going to be looking at, or for, or whatever, right away.

Zkitten, I don't want to seem like I'm picking on you, (and I, too, and SEVERELY dyslexic!), but it's a huge turn-off to me when proper punctuation and spelling aren't used. Maybe I'm the odd-ball, but when I go to a store that's advertising that they sell "sub's", which properly is "subs", I don't ever go there again. I feel like if someone wants my hard-earned dollar, it's worth it for them to say "I" - not "i". Please, please don't be offended - I hope you sell everything and make tons of money - this may just be my personal pet peeve.

I agree that if you're uncomfortable using the name in all situations, it might not be the best idea. I think Fat Crafts is cute!

Maybe if you told us a little bit more about what's on the mirror? A postcard - from who? Why am I interested in it? A picture - of who?

Your bag is fantastic! I love the silver fabric and the crazy fringe part at the top!
