Perfect fall colours!  I've done my Prepster, finally!  Here's the link to my blog (i'm picture-posting challenged).

42  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Anyone Know where I can find a pattern like this? on: August 02, 2006 05:19:05 PM
I've just seen this new top at Anthropologie, the "Aura Cowlneck".  Anyone seen a pattern like this online?

Thanks so much!
43  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Where to get La Lana Forever Random Blend? on: July 26, 2006 01:47:48 PM
Hi everyone!

I'm interested in making the Carpet bag from Handknit Holidays with the recommended yarn - La Lana Forever Random Blend.  I love the colour way too, and unfortunately I can't find it anywhere around me.  Anyone know where it can be found? Or, interested in a swap?  I'm in Canada (near Toronto).

Thanks for your help!

44  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Where is the coolest place you've ever knit? on: July 07, 2006 12:33:49 PM
While planning for my much overdue trip to Europe, my knitting-obsessed mind immediately jumped to "where are the knitting stores, how much yarn with my backpack hold and what should I make when I'm there?"

On this train of thought, I ventured into "where would be the coolest places to knit?"  I decided I'd love to make something (if only a small square for a later throw blanket) while the morning light streams down on me through the beautiful stained-glass glory of Sainte Chapelle in Paris.  This is of course only a dream - not sure if I even COULD do this (seeing as how its a big tourist attraction, and probably full of people and nowhere to get elbow room to sit and knit!)

So, how about all of you?  Where are your dream knitting places?  Where would you like to go and knit, and infuse your work with the lovely surroundings you're enjoying?

Where is the coolest place you have knit?

45  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Silk Knitting on: July 07, 2006 12:19:16 PM
I've just recently begun knitting with silk-based yarns, and have noticed they have a somewhat... distinctive smell to them.  Anyone else notice this?  If so, any suggestions on changing the odour?  I've just thrown a couple of scented soaps in the bag with them (soaps are wrapped in saran-wrap for yarn-protection), but their scent-changing abilities are limited.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Teresa
