Woohoo!! Finally finished this baby up.

Howdy knitters!  Thought I'd post a picture of the progress that I've made on my top-down.

Just one and a half more sleeves and then it is on to the neck.  I'm thinking something loose and turtleneck-y, but am not sure how to do that, so we'll see!

I just finished this sweater and I am pleased as punch with it, so I thought I'd share.  It's a modified version of the sweater Wicker from Rowan 37.  I knit it up using KnitPicks Main Line yarn (75% cotton, 25% wool).  I love working with cotton blends, and I'm sure I'll be using this yarn again.

Almost there...almost there.  I just have the button band with the damn buttonholes left.  I have to admit, I am more than a little afraid of buttonholes.

Pattern: Belted Wrap Jacket from Interweave Knits Winter '05 Issue
Yarn: 17.5 skeins of Knit Pick's Merino Style in the 'Cinnamon' color






This project was touch and go towards the end, but the collar really made all the difference for me.  Plus, I LOVE the ribbed bell sleeves.   

Merino Style is great stuff too.  I noticed that the yarn was thinner in some places, but it is super-soft and I didn't run into a knot in the 18 skeins I used for this project.  I will definitely use it again.

I finished this hat a few days ago and thought that I'd share!  It's a free hat pattern called "Halley's Comet" designed by Marnie MacLean.





It looks much more complicated than it actually is and took just a few hours to finish.  And it cost me about a buck, since I got the yarn at Target.  Since I just discovered the wonders of MAGIC LOOP this past week, I used this technique to make the hat, rather than using dreadful DPNs. 

Side note:  while I love the design and the fit of the hat, I am not smitten with the color of the yarn.  I can't overdye acrylic can I?  I'm thinking no.

Whoa, this thread is HUGE.    All the amazing FOs in this thread are so inspiring.  What a great book!
