Get ready to be jealous everyone!! I received my awesome parcel from Crazyda79 today!  It was so great to come home from a really crappy weather day to this!!

One of the things I truly loved about my parcel was how much time I could see crazyda used to research my likes!  She used a bunch of my favorite quotes in ways that are perfect for me!

First everything together (ignore my messy table); there was too much to get it all in!

Red - super cute wine glass candle, adorable cardinal needle book!  I really needed one too!

Orange - Fantastic mug with one of my favorite quotes!

Yellow - this really touched me, I teared up big time.  I'm a big advocate for Endometriosis awareness as I suffer from this debilitating disease.  I loved that Crazyda used a favorite quote of mine and tied it all in!  The ribbon is hanging on my apartment door (with my wreath Cheesy )

Green - I have an aversion to wood, so I never get to work with it, but this piece is so something I would have wanted to make!  I love how Yoda came out with the glittery lightsaber!  And I'm nail polish obsessed... soo... yeah Smiley

Blue - I color corrected this a bit to try to get it as close as possible!  This hoop is awesome!  The quote says: If knitting were exercise you could bounce a quarter off my a$$! (made it mature for the language, not sure if it's needed)

Indigo - I think this is my favorite piece, it's so hard to choose!  It photographed really poorly, but it's a felt New York state with a little heart where I live.  I love it so much!  I've got a lot of new york pride so it's perfect for me!

Violet - Everyone loves elephants, right?  I'm obsessed!  This little guy is going to live with my elephant collection!

Rainbow - Glow Sticks, Skittles (EATEN!), adorable pen, tape wrapped box, mini canvas (that says "Somewhere over the rainbow...", and rainbow earrings!

I really love absolutely everything!!  I can't wait to see what everyone else got!

Quote
calixita: I love embroidery but there is no way I could do it!

Anyone can embroider! This is what I do:

1) Think of a cool quote
2) "Learn to embroider" by finding online instructions and doing some stitches, maybe 3-4 stitches per technique until you get one that basically looks like the photo
3) Find a cool font on the computer and print out the chosen phrase at the right size to look great on the hoopla!
4) Realize that the only way to do the font will be with the hardest stitch from phase 2
5) Whatever, this is the best font, it'll be fine - full steam ahead!
6) Make a mistake about every three stitches, which is awesome because the stitch is linked so you can't tell it's wrong until three stitches later. Bonus: you will learn lots of new curse words during this step.
7) Pull three stitches out, correct the mistake, and re-do the stitches
*repeat steps 6 and 7 as necessary
8.) Odds and ends: knot and cut threads, re-seat in the hoopla at a nice angle, etc.

If you have followed these instructions correctly, you should find that the project took roughly 4x longer than your original estimate and you know several new curses. Your perfectionism may or may not allow you to look directly at the finished item.

Congratulations! See, you can embroider!

This is fantastic!!  And SO true!!

I received from MeganCrafts and finally had the chance to open her parcel today!  I'm so in love with everything she sent!  I feel totally spoiled!!

First we have this super cute cassette tape zip pouch!  I've always wanted one and now I have one of my favoritest books ever!

(and the view from the top, with yummy looking chocolate!!)

I literally squeed when I opened these two!!  I think they're Katniss and Peeta!  (woo team Peeta!!!) I mean these guys are so super adorable!!

The books look really good too! I've heard good things!  Can't wait to dive in!

Thank you so so so so much MeganCrafts, everyone you can now be jealous! Grin

I haven't been receiving notifications for this swap, so I just opened my package from DragonRhapsody and wanted to rush here to post!

Cloudsnapper - how did you do that pillow??  Did you print on fabric??

DragonRhapsody - I'm so glad you liked everything!!  I was really worried about all of it, but I'm so relieved it worked out!

Now onto my goodies!!

And finally the gorgeous drawing:

She will be hanging in my hallway with the rest of my art!

There's this great song called Jar Of Hearts.  We are creating a swap from the concept of that song.  Participants will be given between 2-5 partners and required to make between 2-5 hearts per partner.  Your heart must NOT  exceed 4x4x4 inches.  No folding of hearts allowed to fit in this cube.  The hearts you make are completely up to you unless you and your partner discuss otherwise.  There is room for you to list what you like/dislike but except for something you expressly forbid what you receive is up to your partner.  This way everyone will have a lovely little eclectic jar of hearts.  =)

Quick Facts:
2-5 partners
2-5 hearts
no extras unless otherwise discussed
4x4x4 - NO bigger
HEARTS only - NO jars

You MUST PM both Cabaute and honeyd as well as your partner when sending.  Let's try and keep this a flake free swap!

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer (honeyd) and co-organizer (Cabaute):

QUESTIONNAIRE TO ANSWER:

What would you NOT like to receive?
What size hearts would you like to receive?

SKILLS:

What colors do you want to make?
What materials will you use?
Would you like to swap any heart related extras?  If so what were you thinking?  And what do you want in return?

EXTRA:
Do you have any allergies?
Do you have any allergens in your home?
Any material aversions?
Anything else you would like your partner to know?

IF YOU WANT TO PARTICIPATE, REMEMBER TO SEND YOUR INFO TO ORGANIZER (honeyd and Cabaute) VIA PRIVATE MESSAGE AND NOT TO REPLY WITH IT HERE.

Also, remember to read the Swap Info Guide to find other rules about participating in a swap.

PLEASE REMEMBER: We are only sending hearts.  No jars, please.  Also - what you receive is up to your partner to choose.  We will try to match you up, but the idea is a mixed jar of hearts based on what your partner made for you.

We must have a DC for all parcels in this swap. Sorry for the confusion.

Let's have fun!
