Ooh, that liqueur sounds amazing and delicious! Super stoked to try it now!

I took a few pics before I sent, but need to dig out my camera's cable, so for now I'll just put up the item that I have on my laptop atm:

I wanted to do some art based on brokenporcelaindoll's favourite herbs, and try and portray their personality with fairly contemporary clothes styles, etc. I sadly ran out of time for lavender, although I had fun with these so will probably do a few more! For the package, I did hibiscus and rosehip.

I received a huge and amazing box of goodies in the mail from brokenporcelaindoll!

There was a whole selection of herbs (including some I've really been wanting to try!), a *beautiful* charm bracelet, rosemary sugar scrub (made with rosemary from her mom's farm in Spain!), really rich lavender moisturizer, beautiful terracotta closet butterflies, a stack of five amazing scented lipglosses (anise, lavender, basil, mandarin and rosemary),  seeds with awesome handpainted pots with their names on them, a bottle of lovely herby bits that is now prettying up my bathroom, and handpainted cards with all the notes on them!

We also both added an extra to the packages for our respective SO's, and mine was amazed to get the awesome rocket bag at the back there! It's all patchworked inside with retro rockets and numbers. Off-topic for the swap, but *had* to be photographed.

But what is this? The bracelet has a secret! A locket with solid perfume in - a lovely woody scent inspired by the blends on ForStrangeWomen's Etsy shop, which were on my wists! So clever

The butterflies, and the lovely art

The lipgloss tower and awesome pots.

Can't believe this was brokenporcelaindoll's first swap! Was totally spoiled and blown away. Thank you!! <3

Ah, that sounds like a promising option! Will have to research that - thanks! ^_^

Thanks cursive_queen  - I have heard of that one being used, but I think it's illegal in the EU - presumably because it's so powerful! Tongue

Looking forward to seeing all the packages appear in the gallery soon! In the meantime, I wanted to pick your brains a bit - I'd like to make some tinctures, but high-enough proof vodka is a) hard to find and b) not cheap. I keep hearing it's cheaper to buy pure grain alcohol from the chemist, but none of the people at any of the chemists around me had any idea what I was talking about. Anyone know if there's anything else this kind of alcohol is known as, or any other places I might find it?

Happy either way with time - like others, fine to finish on time but wouldn't mind an extra week ^_^

(I'm so glad I didn't sign up for the extra swaps that were tempting me! Much better put all my swap time into this one!)

Need to hunt a few supplies for my main thing - I think I may have to make a prototype for myself though! Just to check, ya know ^_~  Actually, I'm enjoying experimenting - my mom gave me a herbal/natural beauty recipe book for my birthday, think it's thrifted as we like to do that for gifts for eachother and it's rather 80's-ish in style! But good recipes don't age. Between that and the awesome Rosemary Gladstar book Dreadlock gave me in the last swap, I'm trying out a few things! I have some herbs on the stove right now! *goes to check*
