11  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Weird Stuffie Swap; Send out Jan 18 CLOSED on: January 13, 2011 09:29:13 AM
I've been struggling with some stuff (injured foot, SO losing his job suddenly, this horrid weather)... so I still have a lot to do. I feel kind of embarrassed. The execution of what I'm making is going to be so simple; there's no fancy work going into it. I'm still super-excited about it and have had friends tell me to make them one, too, so I hope it's one of those things where the end result is good enough. There's some incredible work in the gallery.

I've got everything planned out, but haven't started yet. I hurt my foot bad shortly before New Years (slipped on melted snow in my kitchen, I'm such a klutz), so I've been mostly posted up on my couch. I can't stand to dig through my supplies yet.

However, I do know what I'll be doing and have everything for it. Since I'll be sewing, I should be able to assemble it pretty quick (sewing goes soooo much faster than crochet or knit!). Cheesy

I do need some pipe cleaners though.... >.>

I'm glad the project itself for mine shouldn't take long to put together... (I hope awesome idea outweighs effort? Cheesy)
I was gonna pick supplies up early next week, but it depends on how my ankle is. I was playing with my cat (cat herding; follow them as close as possible without touching them and see if you can get them to go where you want. yes, it's silly Wink) and slipped in some melted snow in my kitchen. I THINK it's just a sprain (broken so many bones, I can usually tell, plus I did the tuning fork test), but it's still bad enough that I can't go around a store. My fibro makes it really hard to use crutches for more than brief periods of time.

Anyway, I'm also hoping my partner is just a quiet type. She logs in daily, but her last forum post was... last year? Erf. I'm sure it'll work out, but I've had two partners just disappear on me and I get antsy.

I haven't started yet, though I know what I'm doing and I'm fairly certain I have everything I need. I've been busy with the holidays as well as cleaning my house to prepare for my stepson to be here.... but I have to make a 10 hour drive to pick him up this coming weekend.

I'll be done well in time, I just want to wait for all that to be settled to start. Cheesy I love long crafting times; less need to stress.

finishing up my true blood swap items this weekend and then i should be stalking and getting supplies for this one. i think i have most of what i need on hand, however.

That's part of why I joined the swap.

a) I read the issue of Stuffed I have often (it's the one with zombie chickens!)

b) I've got tons of fabric and felt and stuff.

I miiiight pick up some safety eyes, but I'm kind of thinking felt eyes would work, too.

Yay partners!

And I think I already know what I want to do. Cheesy It's not likely gonna include much embroidery, but that's OK. I don't need to have embroidery in EVERYTHING I do. XD
