Details of swap:
WoW... I <3 WoW. It started with a 10 day free trail and evolved into having an 80 and running raids! We all start out simple; waking up peons or killing Defias Brotherhood, going into our first dungeons and they turn out to be the longest ones we'd ever do. Now it's time for us to show our love of Azeroth (Outlands can come too) and our toons! We'll go on a journey together and craft for something we pay 14.99$ a month for! Cheesy For the *Insert faction here*!

This will be a 4 point swap! I know it's on the larger side of the crafts, but I have a feeling we'll be able to do it! We'll go by size and how long it took you to make it; 1 point is small(8x8) and about 5-10 min. 2 point is med/small(10x10) and about 10-15 min. 3 point is med/large(13x13) and about 15-20 min. 4 point is large(14x14 and up) and about 20-and up min.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer for 5 gold on the bank steps!!

12  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Letting out a slightly tight waistband. on: December 08, 2009 03:13:27 PM
So I'm still a SUPER NOVICE seamster. (haha see what I did there?) Anyways, I bought some new work pants and they are 26W, they fit great except for the waistband. They could go maybe an 1" or 2" out to fit comfortably. I found some tutorials but they are all talking about letting out seams down the crotch and it all sounds super complicated. So I was wonder if all you lovely people would know of something really "level 1" simple I could do.

Sincerely,

Pantless at Work  Tongue

Thanks so much, for everything it's awesome!

Details of swap:
Ahhh Adult Swim! That time of the night that cartoons come on that most parents wouldn't ever let their kids near! Those of us who love it know some quotes by heart, shouting them randomly (or at least I do) when the time (or when ever) calls for it. 'Behold, Corn!' is a regular at my work. Well I've decided that we need to make crafts celebrating this block of programing insanity called Adult Swim! Who's with me!?

D.C.'s are a *must* for this swap; if unavailable some sort of proof or tracking for your package. Keeps stress down. I'd like to have updates on progress, even if a quick 'Hey, almost done with "large"!' update, it helps. If anything happens, please let me know and we can try to work something out! I check my emails many times daily and can reply almost instantly.

This will be a 4 point swap! Below are some basic guidelines, but use your best judgment.

Small Item = 1 point
Med Item = 2 Points
Large Item = 3 Points

Small = By time, 2 or less hours of crafting. By $$$, $10 or less. By size, Earrings, stickers, wallets, pouches, bookmarks…

Medium = By time, 2 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $10-$30. By size, one single necklace or bracelet, a scarf…

Large = By time, 3 or more hours of crafting. By $$$, $30 or more. By size, A shawl, a shirt, a skirt, a set of jewelry with four to five items, a purse…

Important note: Feedback will be given after you send, your partner receives, and post pictures of what you sent. If you do not have a camera, please make arrangements with your partner so they can take pictures before they send.

All packages must be mailed before or on 09/12/09; when you send send a PM to myself and your partner with the D.C. or receipt if not in the U.S.

If you want to participate, information to send to organizer:

15  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Venture Bros/Adult Swim swap? on: August 09, 2009 07:21:43 PM
I've become a big Venture Bros addict recently; Dr. Girlfriend and Dr. Killinger are my favorites. Anyways I'd love to do a swap around either just Venture Bros or the whole Adult Swim line up!

Any takers???
16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Curious about being a swap organizer. on: August 08, 2009 07:01:13 PM
I'd love to try my hand at 'running the show' for a swap; and I've read the details over and over, but I was wondering if other organizers had any tips for first timers like myself. How did you keep track of everything, did you work on the computer only or write things down? Were you worried you're swap wouldn't take off? How did you partner people up; go by taste or randomly draw from a hat? Cheesy
17  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / I went to Sweeney's and all I got was this tshirt... on: December 30, 2008 07:05:39 AM
So I was in the past Sweeney Todd swap, and this is the tshirt I made for my partner

I wish I had better pictures of all the goodies I sent, but alas, I never think before I play photographer.

It's free handed/stenciled... I say that because I had a stencil for the first letters  and then winged it the rest of the way and the blood was a last minute effort that I thought turned out nice

So, thoughts, comments? I'd love to hear them....!

(yeah, I tried a paint marker first, and it didn't work out too well, so you can see the other markings from it  Undecided )
(and yes, I am aware I misspelled Sweeney... lol I noticed after I finished and this is why it's taken me so long to post for show, *shamed*)
18  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Pixel Dolls! on: September 12, 2008 08:09:14 AM
So ratface just posted her nice pixel creations (Click here to see them) and I do something similar to her, but mainly only people.

Base

This one is my favorite one, haha it's the tutu style skirt <3

Base

This is one of my latest ones, I have tons more at my site(glitterPOP.co.nr)

Does anyone else make these? I've always been curious to know! <3
19  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Dogs, Cats, and Tiki Heads! (Img heavy) on: July 26, 2008 01:30:59 AM
So here are a few more of my latest stitches!

This one is for my step-sister, figured she'd like the colors haha I tried something new, the Whipping Stitch, or it called the Whipping Running stitch? Either way, I tried it, and I love that effect haha

This one is for my step-brother and wife (mainly wife), since they love their dog so much!

This one is for my mother-in-law, she's lived in a house with 3 boys for so long it's time for some girlie things to appear around the house! Haha

I'm slowly getting better, and I think embroidery is slowly turning into my favorite craft to do, next to painting! lol Cheesy

Any tips?? Huh
20  NEEDLEWORK / Sublime Stitching Embroidery / Birds for Inspiration and Coffee for Charm! on: July 20, 2008 01:59:52 PM
I'm trying to get my mind back into 'CRAFTING MODE' for the upcoming RHPS swap lol So I decided to do a few Sublime Stitching designs to get me going.

The first one is for my mom; she's always had a struggle with her addiction to alcohol and she's now getting help at 53. I'm really proud of her because I know it's been a huge struggle for her to deal with things in her life. I decided to make her a sparrow(or whatever kind of bird this is haha) with a banner, kind of to say 'Keep on keeping on!' I stitched it on some soft and super thin denim/cotton material, and it worked out alright I suppose haha.

Detailed

the back; I'm pretty proud of it haha it's not super messy as it usually is!

In it's frame I painted. It's kind of messy and looks all quickly drawn, but I like how it looks... I don't know why either haha.

The next one is for my dad and step-mom. I thought it'd look cute in their house, and since I'm not living near them anymore, it'll be a bit of me in their house lol!

Detailed

the back; once again, YAY not messy!

I'm going to get a frame to paint for this one as well, probably paint it blue haha.

I'm still a super amatur at this all, and I know a lot of the stitches are like... different lengths lol. But if anyone knows tips or great tutorial sites I'd really appreciate it!  Cheesy
