51  Re: Disposable Camera (Color Theme) Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by aliceownsj00 on: December 02, 2007 06:49:29 PM
Ah I finally got mine developed!

Those are some of my favorite ones, very cool <3

http://s76.photobucket.com/albums/j3/triptime/cameraswap/

The rest of them are there, if you can't get to them, then let me know, I put it on 'public' so hopefully it'll work lol

Photobucket made them look funky, they look much better than that.

52  Bland to cute <3 *image heavy* in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by aliceownsj00 on: November 03, 2007 09:25:39 PM
So I had this gloss black wood grain frame, and I felt it looked a bit *bland*, so I thought I'd try painting it.

before

Stripes are fun <3

painted

And silly me, I forgot a basic rule of painting a wood surface... sand any gloss coat off first, and this is what happened.

Reminded me of latex paint...

I decided to scrap it all off and go in a whole different direction.

Ribbon and paint maker! I did the heart on top since it holds a picture of my hubby and me <3

I got some awesome goodies from littlebluegirl <3

-Sweets; Blackberry and Apple Toffee(it is amazing, and I am a toffee addict <3) and a big bar of cadbury chocolate. It arrived melted, but a little time in the freezer fixed that lol!
- A little monkey clip to hold a *picture*, and it's purple <3
- a cute button frame, so cute!
- purple skittle lipgloss
- little purple box(ah cute!)
- purple ribbon
- and some amazing smelling incense!

And this card, which is so beautiful, and it's made by an organization called Oxfam, which helps overcome poverty. I'm going to get a frame for it, it's just so beautiful <3

54  Re: rocking the DAFT PUNK. in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by aliceownsj00 on: October 21, 2007 09:48:13 PM
Daft Punk is a band hun.
[img width=300
I used to listen to them all the time when I was younger.
Cute necklace too.
<3

Daft Punk only 2 people though. if you're referring to the people, those are the characters in the movie Interstella 5555. The movie used Daft Punk's music and only Daft Punk's music (there's no dialog, only sound effects and the music) which is why Daft Punk used parts of the movie as the music videos.

just to let you know.

thanks!

"A musical ensemble is a group of two or more musicians who perform instrumental or vocal music."

Daft Punk is band <3 a very awesome band <3

That is an awesome pendant, my husband wants one of the helmets, but I doubt I make enough money to get one or very creative to make one lol

55  Busy Busy Busy (Boxes) in Completed Projects by aliceownsj00 on: October 20, 2007 07:35:18 PM
Here are some more, you guessed it! Boxes!

I'm getting bigger now! I got some of the bigger boxes, this one I did a vintage spring color theme. I am loving that green!

The stripe pattern on the lid, randomly placed painters tape did the trick, huzzah!

My cute polka dotted orange ribbon appears once more! So cute <3

Another red/black box, this one I did a bit more designing on the lid.

That amazing striped ribbon <3!

Once again, painters tape is <3, I did uneven stripes crossing at the top corner and put a bow there

Designer shot, as I guess you could call it lol

Yes, we "invested" (I have to tell myself we invested in it or I'll start hyperventilating that we spent money we should be saving.)in a new camera.

This one to be exact! It's pretty nice, and so far my hubby is all head over heels for it lol He convinced me and we shopped around and to my surprise,  Walmart was the victor.

56  Little Bow'd boxes <3 in Completed Projects by aliceownsj00 on: October 20, 2007 08:47:59 AM
I've made some more seen in previous post
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=201832.msg2148075#msg2148075

These are my new creations! I found this roll of hello kitty ribbon, and I HAD to get it!! *hello kitty fanatic!*

Top View; I added a little bow of the ribbon I used around the lid. I just tied it around a pencil and cut it off, with a little hot glue, it stays!

Side; a blurry side view of the hello kitty cute ribbon! I <3 it so much!

Side; I put my tangled DMC floss in there... it came in some kit and I can't get it untangled, now it's a decorative touch lol.

These are both of them <3

close up of my two boxes!

I made this for my friend who wanted one after she saw the ones I made before. I asked her what she wanted to look like, and she said, "you know me, go with your good judgment!' So red and black it is!

You can see the striped ribbon I put around the body of the box, and I liked the bow on the hello kitty box, I did it again on this one to add a girlie touch!

it's just cute! On the lid I painted it all black and then went back with red on top, but I only put a tiny bit of paint on my brush so it would give this look. I wanted to do stripes, but my painters tape is M.I.A.!

This is a close up on the ribbon, this is where I over lapped them, and omg, it makes me love this pattern on the ribbon! It's blends together! YAY!

Well, more to come! I made this after I got home from work, so it was about midnight. I don't like closing at Michaels, but I would rather do it there than Target or somewhere that is HUGE... I hear they don't get out till 2am-ish.

Today we're going to spray paint my little plastic draw unit that used to hold books that I couldn't fit on my book shelves and papers, now holds my tiny collection of crafting supplies!

58  Pretty Little Boxes in Completed Projects by aliceownsj00 on: October 13, 2007 11:06:59 PM
Normally I am a digital graphics type person, but all my inspiration for that has dried up  Cry

But working at a craft store helps give me ideas for more hands on things. So today my hubby and I went up there (mainly so I can bug my coworkers haha) and I got some cardboard boxes shaped like hearts and stars; paint; ribbon; and little gems and decided I was going to decorate some boxes!

I live at my grandmothers house, so my hubby and I can't really decorate as we want... bummer.

Before:

After:

The star was my first one... I was kind of just doing whatever came to my mind... the stripes on the top were so freehand and resemble more zebra than straightness. The heart I used painters tape and tried to get them on there straight. I could've used a t-square for this, but I didn't want to wait till tomorrow.

I hot glued ribbon around the body of the star and heart, then around the edge of the lid of the heart... *note: hot glue is hot... owie.*

Used folk art paint, I like it. If you want to know the colors, lemme know and I shall gladly tell you.

59  True Love Stichery in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by aliceownsj00 on: October 06, 2007 09:42:34 PM
So yeah, I try to be crafty, not much time since I have a job. Funny though, I work in a craft store! Ah, life is funny at times ain't it?

My mom bought me this cross stitching kit with some modern looking designs, and I was bored at work (working in the framing department is pretty boring sometimes.)at I did this. First kind of stitching thing ever, so it's kind of a mess, but I like it! I added 'True Love' myself, because it looked cute.

Here are some pictures, my crappy camera that only my husband can use for some reason! yayers.

60  I need some help! in Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions by aliceownsj00 on: May 03, 2006 04:36:36 PM
I bought a new desk about two months ago, and it's made of that fake wood with that wood plastic covering that can peel off like an ugly sticker! Personally, I don't like wood furniture, mainly because I grew up in a house full of it and it was too much. Anyways, back to the desk! It's ugly, and bothering me now, and I want some color to it, but I don't think paint would stay on it.

There are some pictures of it. Does anyone have any idea on anything I could do to turn this desk pretty??
