21  I went to Sweeney's and all I got was this tshirt... in Stenciling: Completed Projects by aliceownsj00 on: December 30, 2008 07:05:39 AM
So I was in the past Sweeney Todd swap, and this is the tshirt I made for my partner

I wish I had better pictures of all the goodies I sent, but alas, I never think before I play photographer.

It's free handed/stenciled... I say that because I had a stencil for the first letters  and then winged it the rest of the way and the blood was a last minute effort that I thought turned out nice

So, thoughts, comments? I'd love to hear them....!

(yeah, I tried a paint marker first, and it didn't work out too well, so you can see the other markings from it  Undecided )
(and yes, I am aware I misspelled Sweeney... lol I noticed after I finished and this is why it's taken me so long to post for show, *shamed*)

26  Re: RHPS Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by aliceownsj00 on: August 19, 2008 06:33:59 PM
Yes I received today, came home from making a few bucks cleaning a house and there it was in all it's glory!!

First, check out this cool tape that was on the box! Will(b/f) wants some now haha!

Here's a group shot!

Prop List!
- Pretty Acid/Neon green tote (I love totes! I have quite a collection!) with my all time favorite quote on it and the two boys who share a brain hehe!
- A cute little tin box(another thing I love and collect!) with some awesome hand made clay magnets that will totally go on the fridge of my future home!
- 2 bracelets with resin charms of everything from the prop list! I love them and they fit perfectly and comfortable! I will try my best not to toss them in the air during the movie, Justinkase, haha!
- a pair of Rose tinted glasses with a cute little charm on them!
- and a new copy of RHPS with a copy of Shock Treatment! I'm about to pop it in now! Hehe

some close ups (sorry, I'm a bad photographer haha)

THANKS SO MUCH!! I love it all! <3<3

27  Re: What can I do with 12... in What the heck can I do with THIS? by aliceownsj00 on: August 19, 2008 06:18:31 PM
I love those cans haha they're cute!

My boyfriend took a hand held can opener to a soda can one day to see what would happen and it turned out to be an interesting pen holder! The edges were smooth and everything, but that might be determined by what opener you use.

You could use them to hold anything really; pens, pencils, knitting/crochet needles, etc!

28  Dogs, Cats, and Tiki Heads! (Img heavy) in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by aliceownsj00 on: July 26, 2008 01:30:59 AM
So here are a few more of my latest stitches!

This one is for my step-sister, figured she'd like the colors haha I tried something new, the Whipping Stitch, or it called the Whipping Running stitch? Either way, I tried it, and I love that effect haha

This one is for my step-brother and wife (mainly wife), since they love their dog so much!

This one is for my mother-in-law, she's lived in a house with 3 boys for so long it's time for some girlie things to appear around the house! Haha

I'm slowly getting better, and I think embroidery is slowly turning into my favorite craft to do, next to painting! lol Cheesy

Any tips?? Huh

29  Birds for Inspiration and Coffee for Charm! in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by aliceownsj00 on: July 20, 2008 01:59:52 PM
I'm trying to get my mind back into 'CRAFTING MODE' for the upcoming RHPS swap lol So I decided to do a few Sublime Stitching designs to get me going.

The first one is for my mom; she's always had a struggle with her addiction to alcohol and she's now getting help at 53. I'm really proud of her because I know it's been a huge struggle for her to deal with things in her life. I decided to make her a sparrow(or whatever kind of bird this is haha) with a banner, kind of to say 'Keep on keeping on!' I stitched it on some soft and super thin denim/cotton material, and it worked out alright I suppose haha.

the back; I'm pretty proud of it haha it's not super messy as it usually is!

In it's frame I painted. It's kind of messy and looks all quickly drawn, but I like how it looks... I don't know why either haha.

The next one is for my dad and step-mom. I thought it'd look cute in their house, and since I'm not living near them anymore, it'll be a bit of me in their house lol!

the back; once again, YAY not messy!

I'm going to get a frame to paint for this one as well, probably paint it blue haha.

I'm still a super amatur at this all, and I know a lot of the stitches are like... different lengths lol. But if anyone knows tips or great tutorial sites I'd really appreciate it!  Cheesy

WOoo! I'm soo in on this! Haha I sent my app just now! I can see why it's 17 and older haha! *supah excited!* Grin

Edit! I wanted to show everyone my copy of RHPS that my dad bought for me for christmas when I was 13 (despite my aunt(she's a prude)'s objections)

I do need to replace it, the discs are a bit scratched, but I'll keep it because it was my first and only copy I've had for 7 years haha
