I finally found time to weave in the ends of this sweater last night.
Feels so good to finish something more substantial than yet another pair of socks
No pattern on this one. I just designed it as I went, but it's not really an "original" design. It's loosely based on my vague recollection of something I saw in a pattern book a few years ago (perhaps Filati ... perhaps Gedifra ... I can't recall). The one in the book was a spring sweater, cotton in white and pastels and thinner striping up top, if my memory serves me right. Mine is done with six semi-solid colors of sportweight superwash merino. The bottom section uses a slip stitch pattern to create a slightly stiffer fabric that doesn't quite cling like a rib, but still creates a bit of narrowing effect at the waist.
Anyhow, it's done now and I'm reasonably happy with it. More details on my blog: http://fearlessfibers.blogspot.com.
Now on to something new!
