1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My photoshop attempts at creativity on: April 30, 2007 03:40:11 PM
I wish I could remember where I got the tute so I'm sorry to whoever created it and I can't give proper cred to but here's some of my most recent works (special thanks to my nieces Macy Jane and Alyssa for their pretty faces)

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Girly Diaper Cake on: September 22, 2006 05:38:08 PM
My second take on these...I loved making this one b/c it's for my soon to be niece!  Her name is Alyssa Violet so the shower of course was violet themed. Her bedroom is done in violets, butterflies, and dragonflies. I found the topper at Target which is supposed to be a dragonfly but I think it looks like a butterfly.  The "violets" are really hydrangeas but look enough like violets and were from the dollar store.    The top layer and bottom layer are size 1's and the middle layers are 2's.  Total, this cake cost me about $14!

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / What once was a dumpster table... on: August 12, 2006 03:04:49 PM
Is now a revamped end table complete with mosaic top!

I found this in a dumpster and it was once mustard yellow and had some tar on it.  I cleaned it up, restained it *it got a little hurt in my move*, and did a ceramic tile mosaic on the table top.  The stain did not take as well in some places, as it was a mess when i got it so I wish that looked better.  I also wish it was more creative but it was my first one and I wasn't sure what I wanted to do.  I think I'll do my birdbath next... Grin

5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / My First Attempt..*and post* on: August 12, 2006 02:20:33 PM
At a Diaper Cake!  Thanks to the "other style diaper cake" tutorial!  It was a big hit!

Melanie loves monkeys so I put this toy one on the top.  She's also have boy/girl twins so I used pink, blue, and white tulle for the ribbons.  Input is appreciated b/c I am making another one next month.  Also, I had to do some last minute alterations on the top layer b/c it was close to the same size as the bottom.  I think with the next one I am going to make them obviously different sizes.  Whaddya think?  Smiley  *Ignore my dirty car...I forgot to take a pic on the way out so I rushed!*
