3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Need some advice...... on: December 30, 2007 09:12:43 AM
I bought 4 skeins of LionBrand Landscapes in Spring Desert.
(not this color but wanted you to see what I was talking about)
It says it is perfect for felting. My question, what can I make with it? It is gorgeous. I was thinking a felted bag, but I don't have a pattern. Any help is appreciated! I knew I could come here and get some great ideas!

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Aran Scarf for Grandma on: December 28, 2007 07:42:49 AM
Done in Red Heart Soft Yarns in Seafoam colorway. Used an I hook because I didn't have an H, gotta go get one. I also messed up and read the pattern wrong and did double crochet instead of treble crochet throughout the whole thing. It came out just fine though.
Pattern from Ravelry....http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/aran-scarf

Hope you like! It was easy, I did it in an afternoon.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Afghan for deployed hubby.... on: December 18, 2007 12:48:16 PM
I finally finished my hubby's afghan! I started on this thing back in June, but it was too hot to crochet...and I was too lazy! Then he got deployed and started saying how cold he was at night. So, I got busy and finished it.
Not really a pattern, just your basic basketweave. I can never use a pattern, per se, because they never come out long enough for him! Used Caron 1 pound skeins in Cape Cod Blue and Sunflower.

this one shows the texture better.

this one shows the color better

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Anchor Magicline? on: December 05, 2007 05:29:28 PM
Hi! Hoping you knowledgeable ladies (or guys) can help me out. I found an awesome pattern for a purse that uses this yarn, Anchor Magicline. I googled it and it appears to be a cotton. Is this sold anywhere in the states? Most of the websites that google found were in the UK.....which would've been fine 6 months ago cuz I lived there! haha! Could Peaches N Creme be substituted? Or any cotton yarn?
Thank in advance for your help!

8  Halloween / Halloween Decor and Parties / Our 2007 pumpkins.... on: October 22, 2007 02:16:09 PM
Pumpkins this year.....
Skull and crossbones for my 8 year old...

and "Warts of Death"....my 12 year old picked this pumpkin and when we got it home I realized, after trying to cut into it, that it must have grown filled with cement! LOL! I had to use a hammer to get the knife in! So we painted it.....he had wanted it to be one of those puking it's guts out pumpkins but I needed a chainsaw to cut it!

weird request, i know. my son, 8 years old, needs a padded chin rest for his 3/4 violin. i found one on ebay that has 2 elastic straps but it looks like something i could easily make. just wondering if anyone out there had made one or knew where to find a pattern for one.
