Does anyone have any ideas for my husband, me, and our 18mo girl for halloween? I really really wanted to make costumes for sarah, jareth, and toby (even though my babe's a girl) but apparently theres no persuading my husband to wear spandex. even though for some reason he's willing to shave his beard and wear dazy dukes to be dangle?? I want something really original but coming up with something that i can persuade my husband into is proving difficult. thanks for any ideas!

SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Necchi 2006 Educational Sew & Serge Sewing Machine?
|

My MIL got this flyer in the mail today, which basically says the Necchi Company ordered a bunch of these machines and "current economic conditions nationally proved their projections inaccurate and the orders were not received". It says it is $529 normally and that on Saturday only they're selling em for $199.- "it does buttonholes (any size), invisible blind hems, monograms, double seams, zippers, sews buttons, darning, applique, zig zag, basting, pin tucking, quilting and much more... it has a professional serge stitch with optional cutter... they are designed to sew all fabrics withought tension adjustments, such as levis, canvas, upholstery... blah blah blah I'm tired of typing. Anyway, I don't know anything about Necchi and need some input? Thanks!

I'm driving to Vancouver from Seattle tomorrow (for just the night and next day I think), and was wondering if there's anything going on we should check out? I'll be with my sister, BIL, and their 3 and 5 year old. I know about Daiso and I'm am definitely making them go there no matter what and the suspension bridge looks really beautiful, but anything else family-ish (but not boring for anyone over 7) we should check out? Thanks so much, whitney

CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Home Based Tattoo Business
|
on: July 29, 2006 07:50:50 AM

I hope this is the right place for this... I can't seem to find any info on the legalities of starting a home-based tattoo business. Does anyone know anything about what kind of permits you might have to have besides just a business license and TID? In Florida? Thanks so much!
