Does anyone have any ideas for my husband, me, and our 18mo girl for halloween? I really really wanted to make costumes for sarah, jareth, and toby (even though my babe's a girl) but apparently theres no persuading my husband to wear spandex. even though for some reason he's willing to shave his beard and wear dazy dukes to be dangle?? I want something really original but coming up with something that i can persuade my husband into is proving difficult. thanks for any ideas!

i promised my partner a list! i'm late as usual so here it is:

*mum and dd aprons (she's 16m and huge into pretend play))
*felt or fabric play food for her
*toliet paper holder thingy for her bonjour paris hello kitty bathroom (like a bag that goes on the holder so she can't have it trailing through the entire house)
*drawing/painting/quilt/embroidery/cross stitch for walls
*oven mitt/pot holder
*hand/dish towels
*recipe box/book
*sign for dd's door
*wall organizer for craft room (anything like for scissors/rotary cutters/seam ripper etc)
*anything you love to make!

ummm.. thats all i can't think of off the top of my head right now. dd's initials are OWL and her middle name is wren so wrens and owls are awesome if anything for her room (not at all necessary just an idea).

Whoo hoo I made it! I just saw this swap and jumped on it... sending the most pathetic-idea-of-my-needs pm to rira in anticipation of making it in. so i'll be making a list tonight and posting in the am. yippee! i'm seeing so many things i'm itching to make!

you did such a great job! very professional looking. and weird timing- i was just reading one of la'mour's sacket books and every time the character mentioned making moccasins i kept thinking "i wonder if it's really very hard to do?...." i think i will definitely give this a go- and neat website too. thanks! 

  Wow. it's been a while since i've been about craftster. but now that my sugarmuffin is a whoppin 10 months i think im finally free to reenter my sewing room w/o maaaaaaaaaa-meeeeee! a minute and a half leter. she has discovered yo gabba gabba.  anyway- i want to buy a serger and am getting cross-eyed reading posts and reviews on them. does anyone have a one (on the lower end) that they absolutely love and would like to recommend? id be ever so appreciative!

maybe you could work it out the way ecards are done? recipients have to pick up the card on the card companies site via a link emailed to them, this way the sender can be notified that their card has been read. so you would know when the customer received their pattern. i have know idea if this is conceivable for something like that- thats just the first thing i thought of when i read your post. hth?
