I just finished knitting my squirrelly swedish mittens! The awesome pattern is from elliphantom.com

I used Opal sock yarn for the squirrells & snow & Trekking XXL for the background.

I love them!

22  Re: Odessa (Grumperina for MagKnits) KAL in Knitalongs by D.I.Winer on: November 12, 2006 04:57:21 PM
I finished mine last week.

I knit it with cashsoft 4ply & size 4 needles - I cast on 130 stitches to make up for the difference

WHEEE!!! This sucker is still a bit damp (I started blocking it on Wednesday! yoinks!) but I decided to take my FO pictures of it since I love how it turned out

I used Lamb's Pride Bulky in "Heirloom Blue" - I love it! Thanks for a great pattern!

25  Re: Eunny Jang's Deep V argyle vest in Knitalongs by D.I.Winer on: August 08, 2006 03:21:42 PM
Wheee! I finished my vest about a week & a half ago!

I used knitpicks merino style.  I'm actually thinking of knitting another one in a more neutral colour combo & have thought about using telemark.

If you go to the Vest-along blog (http://vestalong.blogspot.com/) , there's someone who's knitting up a swatch of the telemark & is going to report back on how it works out. So far, she says it's really soft & her colours look really great.

Built by Wendy is my new freaking hero! She designed patterns for Simplicty & they go up to size 20!

I sewed this top tonight & *I* *LOVE* *IT* it fits awesome & I think it's really flattering to my pear shaped body.
(I posted this in the 'sewalong' board too, hope that's okay)

I just finished 4111 & *I LOVE IT*!

I had this black fabric in my stash, so that's why I used it - but now I'm going to make more! The pattern was really easy & It took me about 1 1/2 hours to sew the whole thing. I cannot tell you how great this fit is for the curvier girl - I'm *so* glad this pattern comes all the way up to 20. I bought the other blouse pattern & the jacket pattern - I'm excited to sew them!

28  cute stripey stretchy dress in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects by D.I.Winer on: July 14, 2006 01:52:29 PM
I bought this fabric super cheap & it's really cute(can't tell from the not-so-good-photo... anyhow, I winged the pattern - I kept the front simple & nice-girl but put a deep V in the back:

I'm pretty happy with it! I want to make more dresses!

29  Re: "Fetching" from Knitty: Summer 2006 in Knitalongs by D.I.Winer on: July 14, 2006 01:29:57 PM
I'm coming out of lurkdom to show your my fetching gloves.  I couldn't get a self timed picture of both of them, so here's one. (there's 2, I swear!)

Knit with manos from my stash, this project took 2 nights of very leisurely knitting. I'm not sure I'll ever wear them, but I have someone in mind to give them to.
