This was intended to be a stash-buster. Unfortunately, I miscalculated and ended up with more yarn than I started with. But I got a warm and neat-looking vest out of it!

It's the same with me too - a lot of patterns, I would never consider trying, but I'll catch someone else's, done in a different color or with a different yarn, and that makes a huge difference.

At last! Here's mine:

Caron Simply Soft, held triple-stranded. I really used only a little more than three skeins.

Didnt mod much - accidentally picked up collar stitches on the right side. Then out of laziness I only did about 6 rows of seed stitch - no buttonhole (I plan to use a pin.) The hems were rolling up like mad, so I did a row of single crochet to anchor them somewhat. I like it.
