Grin Cheesy LOL I thought the pattern would be for the dress. I didn't even notice the afgahan! Ha Ha Ha! Anyhow now that I look at the afghan it's definitely funky, but funky is my middle name (well actually it's Darlene, but I prefer funky  Tongue ) and maybe it would be a good way to use up all those scraps and small quantities of yarn I got at an auction for cheap. Would make a good lazy winter cold day project and I will of course post a pic if i do it. Both files looked fine to me. Printed out good too. Thanks so much! Hope you having a great day!

((((((hugs))))))) I would come show you how to sew but I am 150 miles away from TC. Anyhow Since you say your main probs are threading your machine and adjusting tension I found you some articles online that might help you. If not and you do not have a manual booklet for your machine let me know what brand/model it is and I will see if I can find someone with a copy for you. Good luck in your learning to sew adventure... it can be really frustrating but it is so truly worth it in my opinion. I hope these links help you.

I, for one, am jealous. I love vintage patterns. $8 is not bad at all. I have paid waaaaaaaaaaaay waaaaaaaaaaaay more than that for a vintage pattern I loved, which is why I have to keep off of eBay...
Can't wait to see the new/old dress. I bet you come up with the most fabulous fabric too! Have fun!

The Nogales one made me laugh so hard that I scared my dog and cat who were sleeping at my feet. The dog started barking and the cat jumped up onto my desk and almost knocked the keyboard off. Was not expecting that pic, lol.
I thought the Mariposa one was kind of cute. If you still have it handy I would appreciate the instructions for that. Thanks for sharing the pics. Haven't laughed that hard all day!

17  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Vintage Craft Projects / Re:macrame chair pattern?? on: April 25, 2004 02:20:08 AM
Hi. You can get the vintage patterns for lawn chairs on eBay.com.  If you want also there is a free pattern/instructions at this website for a patriotic USA flag chair design: http://www.carolsrugs.com/free_macrame_cord_patterns.htm

You have to scroll down to get to it (underneath the windsock).

My mom just bought a couple of these at a auction and she has somehow talked me into doing her vintage aluminum glider like this.  Shocked I don't know how that is gonna work since #1- I don't know squat about macrame and #2- I can't find any patterns for gliders.  Tongue Guess I will have to just wing it and improvize a chair pattern. I won a book on eBay so hopefully it's not too hard to do. I found some cord even on Sat. at a garage sale for a $1.00.  A whole box full of red, white, blue, green and nasty nasty olive green and burnt orange.  My mom was sooo happy with that.  Cheesy
