1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: need easy meat w/veggie recipes for veggie-phobe on: December 18, 2004 04:27:17 PM
I'm also a veggie phobe, but have been trying to sneak in more veggies. This recipe for mexican pizza is good because the veggies are hidden under yummy cheese.

I add a yellow bell pepper, and just put all the toppings on a boboli prepared pizza crust. You could make this for yourself by leaving out the chorizo. That's a great gift idea, I think I'm going to do that for my newlywed friend. Thanks!

That sounds like fun. I have a question about the cranberry garland. I've been wanting to make this for my tree but... won't the cranberries rot?? Do you seal them with something? Also does the popcorn garland smell? I have visions of my house smelling like a movie theater. Sorry for the silly questions, I think these would look great on my tree, but I'm scared. Educate me please!
4  COOKING / Dessert / Re:bananas? on: April 22, 2004 12:57:55 PM
I take the ripe banana, toss the peel, saran wrap the whole banana and freeze it.  Then I eat it like an ice pop - They taste just like those Froze-n-fruit ice pops you buy in the store.

I was at Michael's craft store today and they had molds for individual small wedding cakes. If the party is small enough I think getting your own individual cupcake sized wedding cake would be great.  As for decorating them just some white icing and small cake decorations, like those silver beads would be good.

Also I saw a show on the diy station about wedding cake decorating, try diynet.com

Good Luck!

These are awesome! I'm going to make them for my friend and her fiancee for their honeymoon. Thanks for the idea.
7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re:Old maps on: October 18, 2003 11:18:09 AM
I used old maps as a mat for a borderless glass picture frame. The picture is from a road trip I took so its appropriate. So easy and looks great.

I love the glass table idea!
