841  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Postcard Earring Tree on: April 23, 2006 12:30:48 PM
This is wonderful! It solves two of my dilemmas at once - how to store my earrings, and what to do with that lovely Degas postcard I've got.  Kiss *runs off to make one*
842  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Postcard display? on: April 23, 2006 11:53:35 AM
I've been friends with CJ for 7 years now, and every summer her family goes on vacation to someplace amazing (Paris, Rome, etc.), and every year she sends me a postcard.

I don't want to throw any of them away, but I also don't want to just stick them in a drawer somewhere. I'd love to have some way to display them all so that I can see both sides easily, but I haven't come up with a single idea for it.

Any suggestions?

If she writes letters and such often enough, stationary with her new name printed on it, and maybe some sort of quilting theme to it, could be very nice.

Those are so incredibly cute! My goodness!  Cheesy
845  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Dino spiked hoodie. Tutorial included! *Works now!* on: April 22, 2006 11:11:57 AM
Oh wow, I totally need to make one of these. I've been wanting to mess around with my old college hoodie.. since I dropped out. Undecided
Probably add a decal or something over the school logo.

Anyway, this has given me lots of great ideas, and I need to go see if I have any hoodies with the right kind of seam.
846  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Pop Tab Dress!!! on: April 22, 2006 10:40:42 AM
I am HIGHLY impressed. I used to collect pop tabs, but I never knew what to do with them, so I ended up throwing them all out. And now I don't drink soda, so I've got none. (Which is probably a good thing, since as cool as it would be to have a dress like this one, I really shouldn't own anything that takes half an hour and assistence to put it on.)

Are the fishnet sleeves part of the shirt? They look great together.

Wow, your version of this skirt is great! I especially like the way you alternated the wide and thin parts - that looks great.

I love how many variations on this idea I've seen. My friend Missy sewed her ties to the waistband she'd taken off of a pair of jeans, then put her favorite tie - a Cookie Monster one - around the waist so it covered the denim and the button, and made a cute belt-type thing.

I love it! That is really cute material. And the dress looks wonderful on you! (And the sweater is adorable, too.)

These shoes are amazing.  Shocked They make me wish I wore high heels. Maybe I should find a way to make them into a lamp, or something like that.
