1  lets dance dance party party rock (dress?) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by pokieneedles on: December 24, 2009 05:43:32 AM
So I haven't made anything in like over a year.... and i got the bug.

The Materials: 2 Hot Topic Tshirts, zebra fabric and THE MOST LUXURIOUS teal velvet fabric ever..... oh and wrapping paper, of course

here it is in all its glory...

Should i keep the hem raw and ragged?

The back is actually a corset type lace-up and i used the pink leopard fabric... but it's 5:30 in the morning and i'm mentally unable to figure out a way to take a picture of my own back righ tnow... so that will come later!

right now its a skirt/shirt combo but i kinda want to make it into a dress, what do you think?

2  Re: Cropped Toxic Biohazard Skull hoodie ||img heavy|| in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by pokieneedles on: January 14, 2007 03:04:58 PM
Thanks everybody!!
A lot of spools actually have the whole spokes-on-a-wheel pattern thing ---->> ....but some of them have it "filled in" to look like a toxic sign ---->>
It's simple to find one, really. Just attack your mountains of thread by tearing off the lables on the ends!
WARNING: You may need a trashcan at hand  Wink

This is the first actual somewhat-genius invention-thing that's happened to me like this by accident!

3  Cropped slouchy biohazard hoodie ||img heavy|| in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by pokieneedles on: January 07, 2007 03:23:58 PM
Hey.. this used to be a big black tshirt, so i made it cropped with white hood, sleeves, and bottom waistband thing.

Lining of Hood:

This was SO COOL. I had an old empty spindle lying around and one day i looked at the end of it and i had an einstein moment.

It's the toxic/biohazard symbol!
So, i put some paint on it and used it as a stamp Smiley Awesome recycling, huh?

4  rockin red and black striped sleeve zip-up jacket in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by pokieneedles on: January 04, 2007 01:09:56 PM
I bought an XL (i think) red shirt from Michaels craft store and an XL black shirt. I used the red shirt as the base and used the bottom of the black for the sleeves.

I wanted it to be longer (not cropped like it is) but i didnt have a long enough zipper and i dont have a car to go get one, sooo... I also had to use a white zipper cause thats the only color i had that sort-of matched.
I was too impatient and excited Cheesy
I kinda like the white, though. It pops, yea?
Any suggestions???

Oh yeah and i was originally gonna put a hood on it, but i kinda like it without the hood.
