12  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / River Rapids Socks from Michelle on: August 12, 2006 09:21:23 AM
Michelle from Australia sent me this picture. They're socks that she made from a Merino Tencel blend sock yarn she got from me.
Love the waves on the socks!
Thanks Michelle!
Her blog http://knittingmuso.blogspot.com/2006/07/enough-with-socks-already.html has a longer description & pictures of lots of lovely projects.
13  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Rusts, Greens & Lisa! A scarf & neck-warmer. on: July 29, 2006 12:00:31 PM
Lisa, whose an avid knitter & recently returned from Bosnia & Serbia had got hand spun yarns from me past winter.
When she sent me the images of what she's made from them, it occured to me that she may have been in a specific color mood!  Cheesy
One is a long scarf that she made from a beaded yarn & the other is a neck warmer (with beautiful buttons) she made from a "Mohair locks" yarn I had spun.

14  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Self banding scarf in Fall colors. on: July 23, 2006 11:23:37 AM
I spun this singles worsted yarn & my best friend is knitting a self patterning 5" wide scarf from it. Just knitting - no purling. She's alternating with thick needles occasionally to get a more 'open' or latticed structure in parts - really simple stuff. I love the texture the handspun gives it.

16  FIBER ARTS / Weaving: Completed Projects / Alpaca-Mohair Shawl for Sonia on: July 01, 2006 09:31:24 PM
I was finally able to take pictures of the shawl I wove for Sonia (a close friend) in exchange for all the gorgeous jewelry she made me.
The weave wasn't very dense because I used mohair boucle. I sized the warp generously before weaving because Alpaca can be treacherously pilly.

17  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Lace weight yarns hand-painted. on: June 20, 2006 08:48:43 PM
I just finished dyeing some lace weight yarns. Some in soft superwash lamb's wool and some in a gorgeous Silk/wool blend.
They came out just gorgeous - with beautiful tonal variations. Ready to be made into beautiful knitted or crocheted lace!
The larger image is the lace yarn & the smaller images on top are sock yarns in fingering & DK weight.
The gauge of the Silk/Wool lace wt yarn is the same as Zephyr.

18  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / More hand painted Superwash sock yarns on: June 01, 2006 08:21:46 AM
