Hi all,
i want to make an altered art journal (already have the theme of the book i want to create) just need some advice on how to go about it. Have seen some fab books on here!
I have started to glue some pages of an old novel together but the pages are warping a bit and now dont sit straight so the book doesnt close properly! Am now thinking of taking each page out of the book and do something else with them.
so my questions are: how to start, what is the best type of book to use?
I want to glue the pages together so i can paint on to them.

this is the dress . the pattern is online.
I can't figure out how much fabric i need. it says for a us 14, for example 1.35 meters of fabric.

but what width? or is all fabric the same width? I'm confused!

Can i download patterns off the internet and where from?

I am looking for 60's tops especially.

Can anyone give me some ideas (with a pattern!) of what i can do with this skirt. the skirt does fit me but it's too long and very floaty as the skirt is A line with extra panels at the bottom. I would like to make some sort of dress but how?

The waist of the skirt is elastic. When i pull it up so it covers my whole body, its too big at the waist.

If anyone can give me some tips or guidance on what i can make out of it i would be grateful.

I have seen one on the net somewhere and now can't find it  i remember it to be ribb knitted with a thick running stitch in purple running down the one side. if anyone knows the one i mean, please let me know where i can find the pattern!

BO 4 st beginning of next row, work 1 row even. BO 3 sts at beginning of next row, BO remaining 4 sts the following row."

This is what it is saying. i need to know "end with rs row" does this mean knit the last row which would be the right side. so i would start BO on the wrong side?

im new to knitting but have been given mohiar wool to use up. any idea what i could make?

I would really like to start knitting my own jumpers and other things for around the house etc... but i know i am not a good knitter by hand. I am thinking of buying a knitting machine around 20.00 pounds. (I am from the UK)


Does anyone have any advice they could give me?

I am quite crafty already, i make my own cards, jewellry etc...

Hey all.
I am brand new here and I need your help.

I am trying to make a skirt. So far I have cut up an old t shirt, i am going to use the body part of the t shirt as the basis for the skirt (will add elastic)
I am now cutting up some old shirts (in colours of pinks) all cotton and then i have a denim skirt that i want to use to break the pink up. i have no pattern!

any advice? I thought about making the shirt fabric into a flat circle and then cutting a hole and stitch it to the waist band?
