1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / CHALLENGE #11 -- MARY POPPINS HANDBAG CHALLENGE on: February 07, 2007 10:07:40 PM
TRYING TO ADD THE IMAGES.  I FORGOT YOU HAD TO LOAD THEM FROM A WEBSITE!  I'M TRYING FLICKR--UPDATED--TONIGHT I ALSO SIGNED UP FOR PHOTOBUCKET AND I ADDED TO THAT SITE ALSO.

THE BAG:  SUPER—CAT—A—FRAGLISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS---CARPET BAG is 22" wide x 13" deep x 16" high.  4 sections of pockets inside.
I meant to sew a section of pockets on the outside, I had the pocket lined and topstitched, but I accidentally sewed my special secret pocket that was designed for one of the inside pockets to the OUTSIDE pocket and I did not have time before midnight, to rip it out and sew it into it's rightful position.  I will do that in the next few days.  There are 3 photos of the inside secret pocket.  It is shaped for a cell phone or sunglasses with a pen pocket on the right side.
behind the pen pocket is a SECRET opening which closes with velcro.
You could possibly hide money or a wallet inside this SECRET POCKET.
Also, I plan to change the webbing to black.  I was in such a rush to finish before midnight that I had to used the only webbing I could find.  I purchased black webbing today and I'll post updated photos in the next few days and I can do a tutorial with photos, if anyone is interested.  This is my 1st entry in a challenge.

Eek -- I was almost through adding my photo links, when one of my real cats stepped on my keyboard and I had to redo all of the links!

I have been delightedly lurking and reading on craftster.org for several months and I'm very impressed with the creativity of the CRAFTSTER members!  Thanks for allowing me to submit my entry!   Cheesy

I found these sites.  They might give you some additional information!  Good luck!

I searched sewingpatterns.com and you might be able to use this
pattern:

http://www.sewingpatterns.com/sewingframe.php?mdl=http://www.smartcart.com/1sew/cgi/searchindex.cgi?terms=dress%20patterns

You'd just have to add the casing for the bow on front.

4  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Re: help with a kate moss tunic... on: January 29, 2007 12:37:10 AM
Hi,

I found these photos online tonight:

http://www.asos.com/Kate-Moss/Satin-Trim-Tunic/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=135759

http://www.asos.com/product/pgeproductzoom.aspx?iid=135759&img=image1&zoom=1&imgcol=Navy

http://www.asos.com/product/pgeproductzoom.aspx?iid=135759&img=image4&imgcol=

Also, you can go to:  http://www.sewingpatterns.com/index.php
and type in tunic in the search engine.

It looks to me like a loose navy t-shirt with black velvet ribbon trim on the sleeves and the neckline.  If you zoom on the front of the tunic you can see 2 seams coming from neckline down --topstictched to about the waist -- to allow for a more fitted bodice and a looser area at the hips.  Hope this helps.
