1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / I need critiques on my latest manual on making designer perfume copies. on: August 14, 2006 11:52:46 AM
Hey all,

I just wrote another DIY bath and body manual.  This one's more of a beginner project - how to make designer perfume copies.  It's the same format as the Bath Bomb Manual, only it needs a lot more work.  I know that it could be improved 100%, but I need your feedback and critiques for guidance.

If you're interested, dowload it at:

http://www.excellentlivingguide.com/fastguide.html (PDF, 38 pages)

And tell me what you think could be clarified or improved.

Thanks so much!

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / 19th Century Japanese design scans, 300 dpi on: July 20, 2006 11:31:01 AM

I don't know if you would be interested in this, but I found something *awesome* on my last bookstore run.  I found a reprinted book of Japanese designs and patterns from the 19th century - mostly intended for textile artists.  I scanned all the drawings at 300 dpi, zipped em, and put them up on my site.  The designs are public domain since they're from the 1800's.

I have no idea what you could do with them, but surely you can come up with something...

PS - let me know if you use them, because I couldn't think of anything for the life of me.  I want to know what you come up with.

Download Page Now Up!

I made a new version today (April 20) and made a download page for it:

This is my first time posting here, but I just had to tell everyone about my bath bomb manual.  I am so proud Smiley

It's a 48-page paper that outlines the whole hands-on process of how to make your own bath bombs, start to finish, including:

- where to get supplies
- what to do if things go wrong
- how to create cool bath bomb recipes that go beyond basic
- some science background on what makes it fizz

Anyway, it's free for the taking.  I don't have a download page yet, but just email me at cat_bathbody@yahoo.com, and I'll send it over.  If you have any comments or suggestions on how to improve it, I'm all ears!  I'm using it for my freelance writing portfolio, so I want to make it as good as possible.

cat_bathbody@yahoo.com -> just send me a blank email with "bath bomb manual" in the subject.
